  1. Hotrod is back in the game!!! Properly.??? so its not gonna "miami mustang" on us when we restart... SWEEEEET! *downloading now* Then there is nothing else for it... *me gets on his knees and opens his mouth.. " you earned it "
  2. In short.. You cannot have the Bugatti Veryron SS or any other DLC cars, UNLESS you pay REAL money.
  3. I personally don't see how you/ any modder benefits from this, other than getting some praise from mostly people you dont know, its not like you get paid per mod. But that implies you are claiming this is all your work. Which modders here do not, they clearly say where they got the models/other assests from. Thats cool dude, everyone is entitled to an opinion of a subject. nobody will knock you for that. The way i see it.. We (modders) are not claiming to have created the models or anything like that, and we are certainly not getting anything for the mod ( other than praise from happy users) At best id say TDU modders are repurposers all they are really doing is converting files from one type to another. And regarding Pcars. its not like we will take any revenue away from them by using their models. if people are gonna play Pcars they will regardless of the fact that those cars are also available for TDU. But thats just my take on it.. And yeah when its an in depth discussion its hard to answer in 10 words or less :D
  4. so thieves with morals... cute. :) Its perfectly fine to take cars from any game we like. As long as its not this one because its not finished yet... Screw that! You take a car from anywhere you can get your grubby little hands on it. From a game, from a 3d website, from something you nan created in 3ds max. ANYWHERE.. If its a better model or a different model from what we have in the game GET IT, USE IT AND MOD IT..
  5. if its gonna be in any file it will be in either Gamepc.CPR or SystemPC.CPR decode the files (with tdudec), run them through Notepad++, edit them, resave them, recode them, replace the file with the original in your game folder ( remember to make backup BEFORE overwriting the file) then run the game. The standard time for offline i believe is 2pm. The online time CANNOT be changed like that as the time is distributed across the servers to every player. ONLINE if its 4:25 in your game its also 4:25 in my game.. and everyone elses. otherwise we could be driving together and its daytime for me and night time for you.. Same reason you won't be able to do anything regarding the weather online either. Imagine us taking part in a race, its dry and sunny for me but raining with wet roads for you. its gonna give me one hell of an advantage over you. So again that sort of thing is sent across the servers to everyone so we all get the same.
  6. Cool idea, executed badly. I love the idea of a F1 car in the game. But what on earth did you do with that blurring effect. OMG its horrible guys. you really messed up the car with that effect, personally i wouldn't have used it at all. Its very distracting. It wouldn't be too bad if it was only in cockpit view, but its every view even chase cam.. For people that don't know what im talking about.. heres a quick video clip of the F1 in play. If you could re-release the mod Without that blurring effect ( including the one on the wheels ) it would be a great car mod. Like i said if you removed that shakey blur effect it would be great, but its just too distracting to be enjoyable.
  7. Are you running the unpacker in admin mode? if not try doing that, if you are, try running it NOT in admin mode. And have you turned UAC off (user account control) thats often a biggie for making programs not work properly. You can turn UAC off by going to the Search Charm and type “Change User Account Settings” set the slider all the way to the bottom to turn it off ( you can turn it back on after ) Failing all that you could try right clicking on the unpack BAT files, choose properties, go to the compatibility tab and change it to "windows XP service pack3"
  8. why try and make them appear in the dealership at all, why not just do a "on the fly car swap" no messing with game files, just a quick memory hack and you swap whatever you are driving into any other car ( including racing school, club, traffic cars like the bus, or any DLC cars you have already paid to unlock) Although you cannot do it for the hotrod or the nismo (they will turn into pink miami mustangs) they REALLY dont want us using those two cars for some reason. :) Should work fine for the Audi though. Or any other car for that matter. If you have no idea what im talking about, then check my sig and look for the tutorial regarding " getting any car" :D
  9. Very nice Star... So MEGA quality mirrors eh. Is that an official unit of measurement  :) Keep up the awesome work mate.
  10. No its not possible. Thats why people have to replace cars that most closely fit the mod car, rather than just picking any car they like and then modifying the car specs. There are other options you could try.. either, don't look at the gear shifter when you are changing gears, or switch to hood cam so you never see the gear shifter at all.
  11. Media fire link is working perfectly fine, i JUST checked it and i was able to download the file ok. Also.. Writing all in Caps is NOT considered to be a cool thing..
  12. You shouldn't be trying or wanting to use a clutch with sequential shifting imho thats not an efficient or effective way to drive.. Sequential shifting isn't really any different to tip tronic gear shifting aka flappy paddle gears, ( one way is up gears one way is down gears) which uses a semi auto gearbox.. You generally don't have a clutch pedal on semi auto gearboxes, thats the point of them. You can still control which gear you are using, but you can quick change down for overtaking maneuvers and such due to not needing to use a clutch pedal. Its a bit like having a "kick down" on an auto gearbox but more efficient.
  13. Very nice sound mate. Very aggressive sounding engine now. Not sure if i even have the mustang anymore. i think i might have swapped it for a mod car. I will have to check, if i have it still i will have to get this sound mod for it.
  14. yeah i know diablo it shouldn't be called " the windows drive" but some people may get confused if you start saying things like system drive. Or was you meaning something else ?
  15. Click the link that says "DOWNLOAD Nissan Silvia Spec R 2000 tuned kits" then when it takes you to the next page, you then click the link that says "DOWNLOAD Nissan Silvia Spec R 2000 tuned kits"
  16. Very nice Star another car with a little bit of a grunt to it
  17. Not sure about it effecting steam. i wouldnt think it would do anything though. Yes it should unpack ok. but if the worst comes to the worst, you could download a copy of the iso ( retail ) install that and use your legit cd key you got when you bought it . ( you can legally have one digital copy of a game to use as backup purposes, my store bought disk didnt work so i had to download a torrent and install from that, but i still have my disk safe, so its legal ) No you probably won't have to worry about UAC if your not messing with stuff on the widows drive.
  18. :D i am. love me some Rfactor and Live for speed
  19. ive not really noticed much of a problem with the deadzone. but then again i already do what Acid 44 suggested, well i have mine set on 390 degrees so oyu get just over half a turn each way. That seems to hold the line quite nice. You can let go of the wheel and know your not gonna go zooming off to the side. My suggestion if you can get the G25 rather than the G27 go for it. ive tried both and much prefer the g25. The g27 sacrifices the ability to switch between Full h gate and sequencial. but gives you a few extra wheel buttons and the rev counter lights ( which only works in certain games )
  20. On another side note. If anyone thinks " hey that sounds like a great idea to get free dlc, i can use an old exe to buy the cars offline, then replace my exe again and go online, with my new bought cars" you will almost certainly get a "DLC HACK DETECTED" warning.. You wont get banned for it, but you will get booted back to the start menu and all your "acquired" dlc will turn into Miami Mustangs. There is no longer any way to get the dlc cars for free, even via memory hacking. I know we are not allowed to discuss dlc hacking or anything, so im not gonna explain about stuff like that here, but i just wanted to let you guys know before you try something like this thinking it might work.. It won't. The only time you can hack dlc cars is if you have already paid for them, so really all you are doing is the equivalent of buying the car from the showroom for a cheaper price..
  21. When you say they link to other forums with no way to download them. are you sure there isnt a download link that you are perhaps just not seeing. i know a few people are having trouble finding download links on that russian tdu site. do you perhaps have an example of a car in our released section that doesnt have a link here Or on the other site it links to??
  22. Really? i love manual gearbox. i have a g25 so i have the 6 speed and clutch. of course the setup is never perfect ( thanks atari ) but it makes a hell of a lot of difference just by using a manual box ( even in sequential) i find you can really do rally style driving a lot better. you should really try and get used to driving all the time in manual, it will totally change your driving style. One of the things i like the most about the manual box is when your cruising along at a steady pace in say 4th, your behind some traffic, you peek around the car to see if anything is coming, then knock it down a gear and punch the gas for a noisy overtake :) You cant beat that :D
  23. Well if you still havent got it after 3 "useless" posts, where ive already explained why i said what i did, i doubt you ever would get it. so it seems a bit of a waste of my time trying to explain it again really as you still wont get it. Perhaps if you applied that logical thinking i was talking about, you might get it. who knows. Didn't your mommy ever tell you, its not about winning or loosing, its taking part that counts.
  24. It would probably effect being able to go into reverse like you suspected. BTW what do you use for acceleration, is it keyboard or game pad button by any chance? as that would explain why you suffer burnouts when trying to move. digital controls ( keys or joystick buttons) are either off or on. so its the equivalent of just stomping fully on the gas pedal, rather than having a nice smooth acceleration like you get with analogue controllers. in fact neutral has nothing to do with it, digital controllers are the problem. If you used the analogue shoulder triggers on an Xbox controller or a set of pedals, even in automatic, you should not have this problem. Just something that lets you press a little bit of acceleration should fix this issue for you, as that will let you smoothly pull away from a stand still.
