  1. I never noticed this until recently, but an ENB for rFactor that I downloaded never worked. The problem is d3d9.dll. I believe the security system built in disables it. Here's someone else with the same problem. ENB under Windows 8.1 - Solution? ENBSeries View topic - rFactor - ENB under Windows 8.1 - Solution? Help please? BTW Already tried RadeonPro's SweetFX, didn't work either.
  2. Hello. This is my first post here, and I don't know if is this the right place to drop these lines. After having installed TDU on my Win 7-64bit system, I'm getting random system crashes (the in-famous blue screen). Neither I'm able to progress in the game, because I can't select "start" from any race menu, or see the map if I hit the "M" key. I have a nVidia GE Force GTX 770 with the 335 driver (that last one released a few days ago) and have applied the nVidia Inspector settings suggested for the sim. I'm also keeping the resolution low with no AA effect and all the details to the low level. What I'm missing? Best regards, and thanks in advance. JagHond
  3. Looking at this from the more narrow perspective of A+++ game development. For example, if new games didn't work on XP (at all), would you be screwed? Or if new games only worked on Windows 64-bit (given that new consoles are similar to 64-bit PC architecture this could be a realistic possibility) would you have to upgrade? I've got Windows 8.1 Pro Media Centre x64 on my gaming PC, prior to that I had Windows 7 Ultimate x64, and before that I had Vista Ultimate x64, so I've been on the x64 train for quite a while now.
  4. At first thought, you may feel like this is a bad thing. A waste of time. Imagine what we'll be able to do once the Kinect is unlocked and is allowed to be modded for other uses than it was intended.. No need for TrackIR? Maybe.. http://blogs.msdn.com/b/kinectforwindows/archive/2013/05/23/the-new-generation-kinect-for-windows-sensor-is-coming-next-year.aspx
  5. I installed tdu 2 on windows 8 and the unpacker doesn't work.It worked when I had W7.When starts to unpack after 10 min on some files it says: 'Files not found!". I don't know what to do :(
  6. Server Status | Test Drive Unlimited 2 Official Website Another Weekend with a not working TDU2 Server. Servers are down since yesterday the 15.02.13 Will they be up ever again? Or is this now the final end with the TDU Series ? No one knows exactly and there is no official Statement from Atari again. Only thing we can do is hope that it's not because of the insolvency from Atari.
  7. It seems a few of you have downloaded Windows 8 so feel free to discuss, criticise, share new features/tricks/hacks etc in here. A lot of you don't seem to recognise the Betta (i.e. Beta) Fish from the Windows 7 Beta either: :) http://www.google.com.au/search?q=betta+fish&hl=en&rls=com.microsoft:en-GB:%7Breferrer:source%7D&prmd=imvns&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=8q1OT6ziCoaziQfT3e1w&ved=0CF0QsAQ&biw=1320&bih=687
  8. I really wanna get WR2 but i dunno if it will run on windows 7. Does anyone with W7 know if wr2 will run on it?
  9. i get audio at the beginning of the game when the videos play, but after that i dont get any audio. i went into the options and didnt see anywhere to choose between outputs, only volume sliders. anybody know why the game gives audio at the start and then quits? every single audio application works with virtual audio cable as the default device (havent tried any other games) except test drive unlimited. at first i thought maybe it had something to do with internet explorer being open, and maybe the game wouldnt run the audio because internet explorer had it.. well i closed internet explorer and restarted the game but didnt get any audio again.
  10. hey there guys.. this recently started hapening to the game and this problem isnt there in XP when i start a model mission or a race, the car starts in the middle of nowhere ( somewhere in a forest !!) im runnin core i5 windows 7 x64 home basic with a Intel Hd graphics family chip which gives me 1699 graphic memory please help me guys ..!!!
  11. I just got a new 64 Bit PC and when I launch TDU a floating box comes up on the screen saying input not supported if it helps at all I am using a DVI cable
  12. Hey guys, I've got a big problem and I can't find a solution. Whenever I try to play any games, the screen flickers and eventually the game crashes to the desktop. I've Google'd this error and it turns out a lot of other people are getting the same error. Seems to be NVIDIA's horrible drivers, as people with cards totally different than mine are also getting the same error. Anyone else got this error and fixed it? Specs Windows 7 32 bit Intel i7 920 @ 2.67 GHz NVIDIA 9800 GT 512MB Asus P6T mobo 4GB ram (2x2) Edit: Pic of the error: http://i737.photobucket.com/albums/xx20/ScoobSTi/5536dd6d.png Edit2: I've found a fix for the problem, and just wanted to update it here just in case anyone else ever gets it needs a fix. 1) Download MSi Afterburner. Can be found here 2) Install and run. 3) Set Fan Speed (last slider) to Max. OR 3) Set Fan Speed to a number between 50 and 70. If you want to hear your fan whining everytime you game, set it to 70. :p 4) Click Apply. This worked for me, so maybe it will work for other people! If you have the same problem and have a different fix, post it here and I'll update.
  13. Sure it sounds cheesy, but music is a part of life for most people. So instead of just posting what music you like how about signing up to Last.fm and letting people see what music you have been/are currently listening to. Just put a link to your profile in here and then we can discuss music in this thread. If you need to sign up click here And to view my profile click here Hopefully this will stimulate some good discussion on the worlds varying music taste's.
  14. I know there's quite a few people on here who use (and lurve) their Object Dock, so I thought I spread this baby about a bit. XWindows Dock is created by a Russian Dude who saw Leopard's dock and has (pretty much) created an exact copy of it. It comes with it's own stacks, live reflections (of icons only, windows is on the way), easy to apply skins, minimized windows (with Leopard Genie effect) and numerous customization options. Be aware that this is still a very new program and is still in development - so expect bugs and random outbursts of random (although I've been using it for a few days and had no problems). Works on Vista and XP... Just don't touch the docklets. They're still in development apparently and it spazzes the whole thing xD [imglink]http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x12/randomus_robbius/ScreenShot-2.jpg[/imglink] [imglink]http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x12/randomus_robbius/ScreenStackFan.jpg[/imglink] [imglink]http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x12/randomus_robbius/ScreenStackGrid.jpg[/imglink] Go get it!
  15. Been surfing the interweb trying to spec this PC I'm going to attempt to build when I stumbled across this thread about what version of Vista which in turn turns into a OEM vs Retail debate on Vista. For those who cannot be bothered to read all the thread, the most important part of the thread which is an email from MS explaining what "DIY/selfbuilders" should use. So if this is the case, do other OEM components/software available on the market thus voiding any warrenty on the products you buy?? Just a thought and wondered what other fellow system builders thought.
  16. Dunno how many of you use Safari (I do), but either way... Source In Other Words... Source OR, in yet other words, Apple want your PC to be hacked so you'll get fed up with Windows and buy a mac XD
