They look so averagely dull...which is why they seem so appealing to me! :)

Mercedes-Benz (or whatever name he currently has at the moment, sorry), as he seems to know the spec sheets & model trims of every German car on sale at the drop of a hat!

Milli, I've learnt alot about South American cars, past & present. As well as knowing alot about the pocket sized Kei cars.

Wow, that really is horrible, I had no idea we had someone on here that was in the middle of it all. It's so sad to hear about all the people who have lost their lives but I hope you and your relatives are okay. Haven't heard that much about it, I think it's sad how much we focus on all the other crap that's currently going on and these natural disasters that no one can help get buried in the background...

The ride was the main reason. Runflats are in general much worse compared to regular tires in terms of ride comfort as they are more reinforced. On good roads you won't feel the difference much, but on bad surface with potholes and such... it's night and day. There have been improvements made in the RFT technology over the years obviously, according to the owners who have got those new gen tires it's way better than it used to be a few years ago.
I have had a ride in an F30 with adaptive dampers and 19" RFTs and compared to our E91 on 17" you feel like you're floating, haha. On the other hand, it was not as good as the ol' good wagen when driving more aggresively or spirited.

Swapping the runflats to non-RFTs does not have any real disadvantages. It does (at least) retain the good attributes and improves the bad things. In general, they're more expensive than their regular siblings. Cheaper and lighter as well.

We have a jack, tire seal kit I think and a little foot air pump.

This year of 2014, i've been living with a totally different group of people. The old people who lived with me graduated, others moved to other place... as life moves on... so, i've been trying to see one of them, since she's still in the city, just living in another house, because she had her reasons.

We were planning on tomorrow, but she came earlier, which means, today, because tomorrow she will not be able to... just by that it's awesome. But she have been in São Paulo last weekend, doing a few things, and she met up with an old roomate of ours, which graduated few years ago... and that girl, who lives in São Paulo, told this one to bring me a gift... well, 2, particulary. For absolutelly no reason, she just bought me 2 scale models, 1/43... of a Fiat Palio and a Fiat Punto! Sometimes i forget how people can be so kind, and it brings tears to my eyes... lol

Today was a good day... i have friends, and i'm happy.

Fear Deer reacted to Eudemon in IGN Exclusive DRIVECLUB gameplay videos - fantastic lighting
IGN got a nice exclusive yesterday with these two gameplay videos but unfortunately in typical IGN fashion they are compressed really badly and then throw on youtube compression and you get a less than glamorous look. Despite that though, what is clear is how great this game looks in the lighting department and we also get a nice impression of the sounds we can expect, some sound a bit off imo in that the collisions sound a bit more like plastic hitting together. One tiny thing I like is the way the clock in the Maserati seems to be working and that transition from night to day is surely one of the best examples seen in a game, and not every change will be the same as the clouds and such are dynamic in their generation I believe.

Whether that means it's more a technical achievement rather than a game will remain to be seen.

Fear Deer reacted to Milli in Gran Turismo honors Ayrton Senna's memories
Recently, Sony released this documentary to honor Ayrton Senna's memories. After all, it's been 20 years since he only lives inside our memories, inspiring people to do good things and keep forward. Not only that, Gran Turismo released a section about Senna in their webpage and also annoucend a future DLC, that will be added for free in the game in a next update.

So far, we only know about one car, the Lotus 97T, driven by Ayrton in 1985.

P.S. This actually makes me really happy, and not only about the Senna's DLC, but about the partnership with Ayrton Senna's Institute. By doing such thing, Gran Turismo will now help children in my country! A racing game never had so much respect from me.

I'm sure some of you know the back story, somewhat of a love affair.

I've had a thing for the little Suzuki ever since Gran Turismo 4, after finding the little car with the name of a drink I though it was funny. Turns out it was a great giant killer in the game as well. I took an interest in the thing, looking up random facts, info, dreaming how I'd like one IRL, eventually getting obsessed with the thing. The year's went by and the Gran Turismo games came out, firing my love up again. Every so often I'd look and see if any were for sale, which being a rare car in the UK makes them kinda hard to come by at times. As the years go by and life go's on I was always on the lookout. When finally able to drive and with a proper job things got even more real and the hunt to get one got fired up even more, looking at about 4 over the past 2 & a bit years traveling all over (one trip alone was 1200 miles altogether!).

Then on April 2nd, my I get a text from my dad, saying "Theres a coffee for sale on Pistonheads, its local". After finding it I could't get over that one was finally for sale locally and going cheap. Low mileage and some welding needed, seemed too good to be true! After messaging the guy and asking to have a look I had to wait 3 weeks(guy worked on the oil rigs). The day comes and we got to have a look, bodywork is good & expected from a 20 year old car and it runs sweet, and has a full history and EVERYTHING is there. Oh and it was an original UK car. It has't been on the road since 2008 and needed a bit of welding.

I took the risk and bought it for £1450. Good price considering the mileage (36k miles) and the fact that it could need the full works in terms of welding(a normal cappuccino thing). You normally pay about £2500 for one, and that's with double the miles and it could still need welding.

So after years I finally own a Cappuccino, pleased as punch you could say.

After getting it moved to a garage to give it and MOT and work on the Sills, my worst fear is confirmed and it need's welding on all the normal places a expected on a Cappuccino. Can't say i never expected it, but a little gutted to say the least. But it's nothing in the grand scale of things, I half expected it and it'll be getting done!

Just a few of the bits...

So watch this space! As I know exactly what I'm doing to it. Be worried, this pint sized motor has't gotten named after James dean's 550 for nothing! ;)

The hype & fanboys? No. It was annoying being a rally fan when he his the mainstream as everyone treated him as if he was god....only in terms of actual rally he was't actually that good compared to everyone else.
