    Having now seen it - I'll probably get one. It's just like when we were deciding between the 360 and PS3 all over again. Sony throws a lot of hardware at the problem and sounds like the better choice, whereas MS tends to have better software, and with it a better experience, more innovation, etc. My biggest question though is how much of that entertainment stuff is going to be available outside the US? My Video Apps page on the 360 only shows about 4 options, the only one I've installed being YouTube (although I can stream YT videos to the X360 without that app via an app on my Android phone using DLNA). I also know from my Media Centre PC that currently it can't download my TV guide over the Internet, but instead gets it from OTA (over the air coax reception). Since the XB ONE is using HDMI pass-thru and not a coax feed someone would have to make that data available. Also I've never had much luck getting my SmartGlass app connected to my console. MS announces 15 exclusives in the first year - and no-one in the audience boo'd? :eek: So at this point in time, I'm (once again the opposite) leaning towards the new Xbox over the PS4 (MS could easily add game-streaming features in a future update when more of us have the needed infrastructure - they already have the DirectCompute server framework). Not for gaming though, more for the media features. They mentioned an inbuilt game DVR but no TV DVR yet... interesting. The PS4 can wait for Gran Turismo 7 at this stage.

My banana-flavoured hot chocolate? :toetap: I'll probably get one eventually (like I did the 360) but it will never be a primary gaming machine for me. Also the ONE? Seriously? So now we've got the Xbox 1, the Xbox 360, and the Xbox ONE. Way to copy one of Apple's more dumb ideas. The whole advantage over console gaming vs PC gaming was always about the quick disc in and play, and the better family sharing (local multiplayer) experience. These days now they're copying Steam on their console. Except I can install games on my PC far quicker than the last few console games I played. I can replace/add new storage in my PC at my leisure, whereas MS typically charges extra for a HDD that they support. Stuff that I buy and use on my account is of no benefit to the rest of my family without them knowing the PIN for my account (since credit card/Paypal info is saved in there). (Not having seen the event yet) I wouldn't all jump on the 2nd hand sale fee yet unless it's explicitly confirmed. They could do this the same way as Office 365 installations. If you need to install Office on another PC (besides the 2 or 5 licenses you already have), you can just deactivate one copy from the central website (not uninstalling the software - it becomes like Windows when not activated) which frees up a license to install on the 6th PC. When you're done, deactivate that PC and reactivate your old one. Bit of a fuss but I'm sure you'll agree it's better than the alternative (and most people who don't deal with 2nd hand games or friends houses will appreciate the disc-less option. (That said it would be better to have it as an option to suit your lifestyle - what happens if you end up with 4 consoles at home though???) I seriously hope before people go all Fry (take my money) they stop and think and make an educated decision.

    Graphics look nice (but we always knew that would be the case), but besides that the trailer didn't really reveal much (besides the P1 possibly being excluded from other racing games) :(

    I've read elsewhere that HV solar arrays are better than nuclear power as well, some say it's just an intermediate step until you can upgrade but besides that a bit redundant. Maybe we can all chip in some solar panels or low/medium arrays to build a new HV one? Has khev let you onto the server yet bak? Started building anywhere?

    Isn't there a way to automate that? i.e. condense uranium ore, pipe it to a condenser, then whatever happens after that? Guess I better get cracking on making those 1024 Electronic Circuits for a HV Solar Array.

    Checked Telos4's and the teleporter. If you use some of the stored power, they only charge up during the day if they also have solar, but nothing at night (use the Teleporter near the NPC village at night and see if it recharges when you come back - I personally checked the wiring while MrLol was looking for me in the nether :p).

    Vista is (besides an unloved Operating System) a great view - and there were many of these the largest open world driving game FUEL, which is what what would link it better to Horizon than Motorsport. Still a brave call for Microsoft to call something Vista again :lol: Perhaps one game will feature both closed circuit and open world... remember the rumours that GT6 would do this?

    Spin Tires - But Only if You Want to Get Stuck in the Mud! Oovee Game Studios have released a new trailer and playable technical demo of what they call "The Ultimate Off-Road Challenge" to garner community support in the form of a KickStarter campaign. Intel award winners from 2009, Spin Tires aims to set you in the late 20th-century beginning in a large Soviet cargo truck with basic navigation aids (such as a map showing landmarks and compass) with delivery jobs to complete. Of course, in order to do this, you will need to plan an appropriate route, avoid getting stuck and running out of fuel. A key feature being demonstrated is the ground deformation (which hasn't been of this much focus since Sega Rally was released back in 2007), which will ensure unpredictability and extended replayability. Now available is a technical demo that is without gameplay elements, but allows players to try out the new 'VeeEngine', developed from scratch and based on Havok vehicle physics (also used in V-Rally and Test Drive Unlimited).     Possibly me - but I blame the person who showed me that feature of the philosiphers stone (Ozz or Adam, can't remember) and then not completing the lesson explaining that there were different modes. If it makes you feel any better my garden was completely stuffed up too. And before anyone gets annoyed just remember who spent ages making those tunnels for you :p @Adam, chunks are slow for me to load when I first log on (only because of texture pack) but are fine for me beyond that. Possibly fixing the cable loops/forks will help?

    Has anyone noticed that the full screen button on embedded Vimeo videos doesn't work? - have to watch it on their site and then go full screen (and hope it doesn't crash)

    Wasn't America suspicious of them (allegedly capturing some data to send back to their government) and blocked them from selling in USA?
