As amazing as it is we're still not at a point where one can stream games over their wired Ethernet LAN on titles where latency is crucial. Racing games in particular (steering wheels aren't supported anyway). Same deal with Rocket League, which otherwise would be a perfect casual use case. So I can't see that genre taking off just yet. Streaming older emulated games however sounds more reasonable - if the price is right. Don't charge a premium just because the game WAS popular 15 years ago or is considered 'retro'. I still personally expect relatively 'bargain bin' prices with a tiny amount added on for redistribution costs. I feel like I've discussed this topic before but my google-fu fails me.

Something is not right with that sun + reflection... * Is it that the reflection is perfectly equidistant from the main? * Is it the invisible middle part of the sun just above the mountains where clouds are not seen? * Or is it that the reflected palm trees have sun behind them and the real ones do not? (Obviously it's PS'd, but some are more believable than others).

I don't think I'm skilled enough to make enough of anything at decent quality but I do work as an IT Business Analyst/software designer so can offer to help in that regard, perhaps even menu interfaces if required.

The only thing I'm worried about is the possibility of many great ideas causing scope creep (slows down progress), or even worse, causes divisions which in the past have led to some other KS devs taking all the $ and running, killing the project. If project completion is estimated for Dec 2017 (keep in mind you may be up against a new NFS game then), do you know when early access is planned? If you need other forms of IT support let me know.

Sharing desktop icons to me is akin to tweeting what I had for lunch - not my thing.

So who upgraded for free and who didn't? I only upgraded PC's I don't care about so much (i.e. one connected to the TV and my gaming one which I treat as a console). My primary PC remains resolutely with Win 7.

Remember FUEL? You could warp around a little bit but not directly to friends either (there was a dev cheat available to PC players). That game didn't last too long. MP servers is probably what keeps Minecraft going too. I'm also starting to doubt that there's not a whole lot more non-grindy stuff that hasn't been shown already. Sean himself said that he would expect most players to stop playing once they reached the center... maybe nothing that special is there after all and it's just pure simple gamification. The reason MP is so limited is because Sean wants to give us a certain experience. Well once we've enjoyed that experience I don't see it as impossible for them to extend MP a bit more. We know they plan to keep adding to the game (what other stuff could they add to an infinite based from an offline seed). There's already quite a bit of netcode in there as well. On the other hand, playing down the MP might be a clever excuse over a small teams difficulty in implementing something rock solid??? I'll play it for at least a month. FH3 will be out around about then.

Before I received my Rift I heard many say it was brilliant but I also heard some disappointment as to the visual quality. I assumed it would be good enough for me not to care (which is true) but there are probably many others who are also unable to 'just try it' and wonder what they can expect to see if/when they finally get to wear one. So I took the mirrored output of one race and made the following visual edits to give a rough idea (don't shoot me if it's not 100% perfect) of what the Rift is like to look through: Yes you can see the black edges on the sides (you can actually see a little more above and below the edges shown here) but don't forget this image is hard up against your face and not half a meter away. In reality, the picture is a bit more dotty than this - I have compensated for the fact that you'll notice it less when focusing on where you are going (conversely, you'll notice it more if just watching a video).
