Congratulations to Apu for winning the Driving Game Screenshot of the Week last week (and the week before that). This weeks theme is chosen by Clarence. * Stick to the implied theme (don't look for technical loopholes) * Images must not exceed 2048kB, and be at least 990px wide by 340px tall. * Each person who enters must cast a vote in the same week to remain eligible. You may not vote for yourself. * Winning image must not be of TDU2 as you risk account suspension. * Winner picks the next theme, unless winning consecutively, in which case the runner up decides. * Winner has 48h to PM a new theme to me or another member of staff if I'm away, if they fail to meet this then the theme will be a free round. * Competition is limited to games on all platforms of any age that are classified as driving/racing games. (i.e. FPS games that have cars in them wouldn't be eligible). Please mention what game your screenshot is from. * Minor non-enhancing editing permitted (cropping, addition of your name, etc) is permitted, as long as the actual screenshot isn't tampered with. Just like all these other comps. Week 25: Black and White (This refers to the actual photo, not just the car colour). Haven't we done this theme already? :hmmm: You have until the end of the following Friday (May 30) to get your entries in.

Whatevs, I was giving the 'mericans a quick science lesson, nothing for me to be embarrassed about.

Doesn't look different enough from the 360 - maybe a nice dark grey/silver machined look to match the console aesthetics would be better (although that might resemble PlayStation Platinum titles)

The Run was way better than Most Wanted, or maybe it was just that I played MW on the Xbox which had awful graphics and couldn't keep a stable framerate compared playing The Run on PC. If it was cheap on Steam to test Didn't you start a thread just a few hours ago for this when they posted something on Facebook?

microsoft Microsoft Teases 'huge' Xbox 360 Announcement For E3 [gamespot]

Turn it into a massive arcade/retro games platform -
Honestly - you might as well do the invisible Kinect steering wheel - I've started with cheap wheels and they're just frustrating, they're not much fun and you'll be slower than you were with the controller. Even with my CSR Elite I still struggle to beat the likes of Mellors, gsto2, and Clarence (although I'd be a match for 2 of them if I practiced in Forza more often :p ) On the more specific subject of drifting, you want something well made (quality) with good force feedback for the immersive experience, although truth be told it's probably easier with less FF. The Fanatecs with the LCD screen built in could change FF strength and wheel rotation on the fly. Can't wait to see your elgato footage

It's funny because it shows how American schools appear not to have a budget for science class any more :) There is no north/south in space, gravitational pull is generated from the Earth's core which is always 'down' wherever you're standing on the planet.

Only now? :eyebrow:

TDU is where it's at - TD is old school and I'm happy for it to stay in the past rather than suffer the same fate (reputation-wise) as NFS

My little machine room is taking shape (and is nice and neat unlike some others) Hello :hiya: Gusty's RM generator Had a little accident the other day, you may have noticed a tiny change in how my treehouse now looks The biome accessible by teleport is a bit bugged Mined a few blocks to let more lava out to improve the appearance of this volcano, planned to build a glass house on top of it Unfortunately when I came back with glass... :fp: MrLolololXD likes to sleep in mid-air ...in which case you should throw snowballs at him to wake him up

I figured waiting one week wouldn't kill anyone, plus the calendar events were already inversed to the schedule so this will correct things. If I don't hear from Clarence today I'll pick a theme and you'll have 9 days to enter.
-
Can't pick twice in a row, Clarence and I are equal second. I'm nice. Get with the program. :cheeky:

I wouldn't touch Crossfire/SLI with a 20 meter pole after my last experience and with the common agenda. It's only useful if you're teaming up the most powerful cards available anyway. Get the best single-GPU setup you can budget for. Ideally I'd still recommend nVidia though, along with more performance in the 600 series was less PSU usage/heat/noise. Or perhaps wait for the next batch (700 series) to arrive, which at the very least would reduce the price of the current series. Probably not the best time to upgrade in that respect.

As you wish Still waiting for Clarence - fi I don't hear from him today I'll setup a new theme that will take us through the following week.

And what if you spent $1300 on new wheel/pedals/shifter that were X360 compatible so you could play Forza (the wheel has a Forza logo on them). Don't care how amazing the new Forza is - I won't be getting it if my wheel doesn't work with it (unless there's a good Horizon sequel) When Fanatec mention 'upgrade', you wonder if that means you'll have to get your toolkit out...

Maybe a second hand Fanatec Porsche wheel? You'd be better off waiting and saving for a CSR imo. Keep in mind drifting is a lot harder with a wheel in mosts games (and most Xbox games don't have great wheel support in comparison to the PS3/PC version from what I've seen). Avoid the new cheap wheels (i.e. the brands no-one has heard of or the cheapie Thrustmasters), they're never very good. Hope this helps

Oh wow, someone read my article and had a go  If the final game supports wheel and H shifter well enough I'll give it go
