    Congratulations to Soundwave for winning the Driving Game Screenshot of the Week last week. * Stick to the implied theme (don't look for technical loopholes) * Images must not exceed 800kB, and be at least 990px wide by 340px tall. * Each person who enters must cast a vote in the same week to remain eligible. You may not vote for yourself. * Winning image must not be of TDU2 as you risk account suspension. * Winner picks the next theme, unless winning consecutively, in which case the runner up decides. * Winner has 48h to PM a new theme to me or another member of staff if I'm away, if they fail to meet this then the theme will be a free round. * Competition is limited to games on all platforms of any age that are classified as driving/racing games. (i.e. FPS games that have cars in them wouldn't be eligible).     A Video Tells a Thousand Screenshots Some have wondered if the drool-inducing screenshots regularly shared really were indicative of gameplay visuals, despite the game not actually having any photo mode yet. Screenshot master plm5 has put together this video that does a good job at answering these people. Note that due to recent experimental testing with various new anti-aliasing modes, there were stuttering issues in some shots. If you needed more excuses to update to the latest build and have a play, the Mitsubishi Lancer EVO X and Mustang Shelby Boss have both been added this week.

    Last December I was at Fountain Gate for the first time in months (I haven't actually been there since either) and they had an entire shop just to demo the Wii U. I wandered in with a Boost juice and got the young staff there to demo it. It was alright but not worth getting a whole new console for. I've never played Mario Bro's besides that simple PC version that did the rounds 10 years ago so that wasn't a big enough attraction either.

    Nintendo seems to be the console you use when younger kids (or really big kids with their kids) come over. This happened with the original Wii around here, until the point where everyone ended up buying one (great for Nintendo), but then the magic of playing it was lost. Had a brief reignite when the controller extension and new Wii Resort game came out but I don't even recall ever playing that with anyone outside my family. I purchased the Kinect for my family and that has barely had 3 hours of use. The Wii U ads showing the tablet seem interesting, but I can't see it being of any lasting value. Plus I'm not going to buy a new console that's only as powerful as the outgoing X360 and PS3. I'll just wait until I end up at someone else's house who's got one :)
