  1. So down south has snow? How cute, we've had up here since Monday. ;) The best thing about this horse meat burger jokes is that it has stopped all the jokes about Jimmy Saddle.
  2. They are meant to be good, albit with the stuff you;d expect from an old MG/Rover but also helps a bit with parts. Not bad for a car thats based on the Rover 100 Chassis. ;) If I get it though, i'd see if I can get the grill/bumper from the later 'Chinese TFs'(made under Chinese MG, but in the UK). Going to phone up insurance and see how much roughly it'd be for me. @ Ryzza: I could't be bothered looking for ages for a pic. :cheeky: Sadly the car does have a slight image problem that MX5's have in the UK.
  3. Still in the hunt for a car, I've decided that this is the time of year to buy. And by that i mean buy something sporty. :nods: And on that note... The MG TF. prices of them have plummeted of late so can pick them up for just over a grand, and with low mileage. Also low mileage means I can prevent the head gasket problem before they kick in. Can't say no to a mid-Engined, RWD with a K-series engine...same stuff that makes the Mk1 Elise good. ;)
  4. Had an interesting run home last night racing a Clio Williams. Also saw a MG6, GT86 & Rover 75 V8 when driving to work. Good thing about heading the other way from rush hour. :nods:
  5. Interesting that they showing stuff. So far the games gotten the longest post release care of any game I know on PS3/360 and still getting the odd add ons. And potentially more to come! Good to see them keep the work up though! :D
  6. In a few of the Arab states, its something like 18p a litre. Also Insurance is worked out at 4% of the cars value no matter your age... Suddenly a job working in the oil industry there seems even more appealing... - Bought this... Team MG's BTCC jacket. needed a new outdoor jacket for the rally's and such. :nods: Really good quality and warm, which I'd expect for something that normally cost's £110! (got for £65 new).
  7. Took this at work, made me chuckle. :nods:
  8. Meant to put 'Short'...typing on the internet after work & at 5am means my proof reading is lower than normal  The gearbox was't a problem as it was an auto(beleave all of them in the fleet are, bar one which is just used for the workshop and is 9 years old). So just move the switch to R and it does everything. I was like how I was when I first learnt how to drive, looking everywhere and going slow so's not to hit anything. Also getting used to just how much you have to 'pull out' before turning did catch me out a bit. Hopefully will get more shots soon, but im not actually allowed to drive them(no HGV license & all), but we'll see. I often move the trucks/trailers on the break tester and nobody cares.
  9. So today I got a shot of a REAL truck & trailer. A MAN TGA with a Flat BPW trailer. Was in the 'trailer park' where the trailers are stored), quite tight & trailers are parked close to each other. Fair to say it's much different from real a car(even a tractor with a trailer) not just due to the length but also the fact your sitting on the steer wheels. And much like the game checking the mirrors all the time is a must! Good to say that I never hit anything. :) Not related to the game par say but felt it's relevant, as its showing how skills in the game relate to irl truck driving!
  10. Theres been a Clio V6 parked outside my work the past few nights. Found it odd as im in an industrial estate and I would't leave it there overnight!
  11. Though that was you! Will have to throw a friend request to you if you dont mind. :cheeky:
  12. Though you guy's would be used to my dodgy spelling & grammar ;) Thankfully when important stuff will be typed by my mate.(also he's had a look at the post, now telling me what to fix  )
  13. Hello, just a quick message to mods here, if you think this is in the wrong section then please move it to wherever you think it'd apply. Its related to cars so thought it'll be suited to here. :) Anyway, this is't me asking help on how to fix Blown Turbos, no...the short answer to that is replace them. This is some self advertising for a thing me & a mate are doing, and 'Blown Turbos' is the name. :) So what it is? "Two guys driving & jabbering on about cars. Not afraid to be blunt and downright honest about the topic, and often taking pot shots on each others cars...as well as any other car. Both are petrol heads, one a Ferrari worshipper as well as being a hipster and pretentious, the other a self proclaimed connoisseur of everything with an ego to challenge Kanye west." Yes you read that correctly, it'll be me & a mate doing car review videos. It'll be proper reviews but with humour(or our idea of it, whether you think it is or not is your own opinion) and some good driving roads on video. The car's we review will most likely be older ones due to thats the access we have, and not all reviews will be actual driving(due to not being insured, etc). We will be making it for everyone, as in no swearing such. Also when driving we will be following road rules and being safe(as we always do.) So heres a link to our Facebook page, please do 'like us' on it to keep up to date! Also we haven't actually made a video first on account of not having video equipment as of yet, but hope to have up within a month! Heres hoping you like it if you watch it. :nods:
  14. Also arnt alot of the people in Playground games ex-employees from there? And Im guessing there a Microsoft only developer... PRG could be in the cards, announced the same time as the next xbox. Not as far fetched as it could sound.
  15. Hello & welcome. :hiya: I know the feel of playing a game then you just stop...then get back into it again some time later!
  16. Would't surprise me if FM5 is out this year, and I'll let the normal attitude for a Forza game happen with me...go on about how the handling has to be better and not all oversteery, want a car to be in and it ends up in, play the demo and say it feels much better, get the game and play it for a while, realise that offline is pointless and make my cash offline. Stop playing it due to it, see a car I like in DLC then play for about a week. Safe to say that if its a next-gen game then i'll not be getting it. Unless... the handling is much improved and it has the MG Metro 1300 Turbo!
  17. I remember back in the days when 'modding' started for TDU....swapping rims on cars & 'body swapping'...that let you have Ferrari's and such and being able to custom paint them. Oh how things have moved on  Sure the older folk from the Atari fourms will remember that? Even with the basic stuff I got some funny weird stuff...trying to have 250GTO rims on an Enzo would crash the game. And the 2CV alloys in the game files left you with pink(if i remember) space where the alloys would be! No pictures of them...not as good as the ones above!(also this was years & years ago, 2006 and such!)
  18. I'm not that bad, I just go as fast as I can then break for speed cameras..I mean follow the speed limit at all times ;) What annoys me is other cars, I've gotten fined for no reason when a cars nudged into me...yet I've flipped, spun & dragged cars yet gotten nothing.
  19. That's a better one than the 52mph my work has, but im not sure if thats the UK limit or the company's own one.
  20. With the 90kph/55mph limit, I though it was I maybe had pressed something I should't have... At my work there limited to 52mph (If I remember correctly), I've never asked but near enough all the trailers have a sticker with '52mph'...
  21. I get to Glasgow & it comes up saying "Glasgow Discovered"...I suddenly got depressed & hid my wallet.
  22. Here's to another year of the good, the bad & the down right weird, random & wonderful! :sozzled:
  23. Nice shots! Nice to see an original MR2 SW20's are nice things, hope your taking of her. :) Now we need somone here with a W30 and we'll have a full set! (Ive got a AW11 myself, needs work done though)
  24. A Rover 827? Nope, it's the Sterling 827 fastback. Sterling was Rover's failed attempt to sell in the US market in the late 80's/very early 90's. Why the sterling name? Rover had failed to sell cars stateside in the late 70's and other times in the past. Still a epic car. If a self confessed Rover fan might say
  25. I'm cheap and don't want to buy fancy stuff. Do the xbox controllers and that work? Also work stops me from spending time on the PC...funny how I fix trucks and can't drive them because of that.
