Hmm. I wouldn't have thought it would've been a heat issue... Interesting. Glad it seems to be sorted, anyway! -

Some cracking photos recently! The best thing I've seen so far is one of our Customer's Nissan GTR. Next time he's in, i'll ask to take a picture.

Sort of. It's all about bottlenecking. - You can have the engine of a veyron, but if you put the gearbox from a Ford Fiesta in the car, then the engine will tear it to shreds. The entire assembly has to be good for the vehicle to function properly. Like if you went out and bought new components that were top of the range, your motherboard would be comparatively slow, so it's not using the other components to the best of their abilities. Or to put it another way - Slicks on a racing car. Normal car tires would work fine, but slicks give more performance.

Ewww Sabertooth... Mine failed on me and crapped my RAM up... Bought another one and it did the same to new RAM. Went to the Intel DX58OG and all is working perfectly well! Lets hope you have more luck with yours.

Sponge... Mr Sponge. :boss:

To be fair to the guy, he's done a hell of a lot to keep this place alive (Not just tool, but he did start the 'high quality mod' phase) Others have followed in his footsteps and become better than Tool, which he didn't like. He does (did?) these mods for free, so there are no reasons to be angry at him. It's his choice if he wants to stop modding. Just like it's our choices if we decide to leave a forum. I say 'Let him go, there are many other modders out there.'

facebook Car or Bike. Which one do you prefer? :)
Sponge replied to TurboDuck's topic in Driving & Racing Games
TDU: Car Life: Bike all the way. -
I agree with that. The driving I experienced on Saturday on the way down to Birmingham's NEC was absolutely abysmal. If I were on the bike, rather than in the car, there would have been no way I'd be alive today. Stay safe dude.

Aesthetically, it looks quite cool. Seems Atari DO know how to program in a drift... I especially like the open wheel's suspension animation.

Test Drive: Ferrari. This why they dumped TDU2...?
Sponge replied to superhyper's topic in Driving & Racing Games
Quoted for sanity. Atari messed TDU2 up, yes... But the very least they could have done was listened to the community and tried to improve things. Instead they went by their own agenda, completely blanking the communities wishes and needs. For that lack of care, TD:F will not be added to my collection. -
NVIDIA Windows Kernel 2xx.xx Driver Failed [FIXED]
Sponge replied to ScoobSTi's topic in General Discussion
All I can say is "Yeahhh. They do that" Although *touch wood* I haven't had any failures since the new motherboard... See if you can get a Beta driver. Those things are usually more stable than the WHQLs! -
Delete the Radial.cdb file. You can find the tool: HERE

I'd say I'm a 6-7 / 10. I'm not a "fast" rider, but if the mood takes me, i can make progress. Wherever I go, I'm never any more than 5mph over the speedlimit (Unless overtaking, which is dealt with in ~3 seconds) My shortfalls are impatience, and the lust for the feeling of acceleration. I have a nasty habit of getting bored on the motorway and dropping down into 3rd, then going from 70-100. That feeling of acceleration is addictive. In the dry, I have all the confidence I need, but in the wet, I often take corners at half speed, due to lack of confidence. I've had plenty of rear wheel slips while in the wet, which has made me overly cautious. I try to keep as calm as possible on the roads. But sometimes, idiots who tailgate you at half a metre away cause me to "Make flames with the exhaust" and then I tell them what an idiot they are at the next set of lights. Never had an accident, which is rare for a motorcyclist! And I don't intend on having any in the foreseeable future.

From memory, the soundpack was removed due to complains by certain authors. As Ryzza said, there's probably a few more higher quality mods out there since V3 was released/removed. The only two sounds that I loved in V3 were the Mclaren F1 GTR sound and the Maserati MC12 sound. They were godly.

It is :( A bit too over enthusiastic with the throttle made me clip the wall

Hey it happens mate. I had 3 close calls on the way to work this morning. At least you've got your cage and airbags should the worst happen. I have whatever is in front of me.
