I Have Problems.

right here goes,

 

 

just recently i wanted to start to use some mods again. so i stuck one in, got the error and closed the game. searched on here for a bit, found you have to put the magic map in. so i did that, and ever since i have had 2 problems.

 

a) when i press T to talk, it lags. i type my message and press enter, and lags again, and sends the message, and all is good again.

 

b) people will be talking to me, and are right next to me, and i cant see them. the reason i know they are right next to me is 1. they are talking saying they are, and 2 i look on the map and suprise suprise, there they are, right next to me.

 

so if anyone has a fix, or knows how to fix it, or even has the problem, please post up and say!

EVIL, do you have the Megapack? the magic map is designed for Megapack users and the lag is probably just your internet

i had same problem as this. ive had it twice. to fix the only way i know of is to unistall your game and reinstall it and that seems to fix it.

right. this is starting to get annoying now. i installed NFSU2 last night as it is one of my favourite games of all time. so at the menu and when i press esc to pause, it will freeze for a few seconds, and then it will be fine. same coming out of a shop, etc, etc. i am getting really annoyed, and ill do a defrag tomorrow and see if it will work.

Check In Your Nvidia Drivers That For The Game The Transparency AA Is Disabled As It Caused Mine To Lag Out Like That In Vista

i have no megapack and mine works fine

and nfsu2 sucks get carbon or prostreet (although i played u2 for a long long time)

Open The NVidia Control Panel

Select Advanced If It Asks

Click On Manage 3D Settings

Select The Program Settings Tab

Select NFSU2 From The Drop Down Box

And Where It Says Antialiasing - Transparency Select Off From The Drop Down List

Click Apply And The Settings Will Be Saved

The magic map would NOT affect other games.

 

Your problem is not with TDU. Try a system restore. If that fails a format may be at hand (seeing as you have Windows 7 - you should already know how to format)

nvidia likes to update their hardware alot, so it might need to be updated. if not, something i did when i bought Left 4 Dead, in your Nvidia contol panel you should have the option to use the preference bar on graphics settings. You may not think that their is much of a difference when it is set to performance or quality, but their is.

when i installed W7 - i thought i lost my hard drive with XP on. googled, found solution. prior to that, i looked for a system restore. there were none, since i had just installed W7. i was getting it on XP as well. so i dont know whats wrong there.

 

a format - i dont want to loose all of my stuff.

Back it up on an external harddrive or maybe buy one if you don't have one? They aren't that expensive but might be a bit more in Australia seen as they seem to rip you off there compared to the UK and US.
