texture moddins a place???

I see that you can texture mod lots of places such as gas station's, stores, signs etc.

So i was driving around and found this enclosed area

that looks like a big university place or some huge workplace.

 

I was wondering if anyone knew where in system I can find whats the name of the textures that i can mod. Or if someone can do that it would be awsome.

Its in the circle on the map. The area off the highway.

What i want to do is. Color the big building and say like "Ferrari" as in the manufacturing warehouse.

And there are small buildings around it where I would like to put signs that say like Ferrari Club on one building and Maserati Club on the other building. And place in the parking lots different kinds of maseratis and ferrari.

 

 

If thats possible.

So make it look like this. Like tis a club house

You won't be able to place cars, but if you look around through the commonworld files there is bound to be a dds for that building. Just remember that if there are any more of those buildings they will all change

If I remember that area of the map correctly, the complex you are talking about is the golf club/country club.

yaya it has the golf course to the left of it

 

i would love to make that in to a maserati/ferrari warehouse

and make clubhouses for both and stuff. like Maserrati Street and Ferrari Avenue and etc.

If you are refering to the big red building on top of the hill, it's the "Tripler Army Medical Center". As far as i know, the corresponding files can be found within:

 

• CommonWorld.bnk
  
• CommonWorldDiv2.bnk (low res versions)
  

The files to be edited are:

 

• sb_hosp1.2db
  
• sb_hosp2.2db
  
• sb_hosp3.2db

Since that building doesn't have much in the way of decals, there's a lot of opporitunity about doing stuff with it. Can't wait to see what becomes of this idea! :)

I can either. I got a big imagination for what i want done to it.

but Since we can't place cars in the lots

jsut shuts me down

GAHHHHH problem alreayd

i extracted the files with bnk editor and it should of made the folder in the level, hawaii, section.

Now i can see the CommonWorld folder through the BNk editor but not through anything else, no program or even tdu tools

It wouldn't matter what Operating system you're using as long as its windoze.

 

The only alternative that comes to mind is look at every file, or look at a logo on the building and try and find that.

Haha i figured it out

If you ahve windows 7

and you go to the TDU location and go to where the original 2bd file was

and at the top it says "compability files"

if you click on that it shows the files that you need

 

 

 

PS.

What do you guys recomend

Adobe Photoshop CS4

or

Corel Paint X

or anything u prefferr?

I use Photoshop CS3, and that does the job for me.

 

Free alternatives are: Gimp, Paint.net amongst many others.

Moreover, free alternatives are as efficient as a pro software for such a job...

and even easier to learn for beginners.

since i gota firgure out all the different angles of the dam building

man its sooo confusing

 

why couldnt they just make it an actual 3d model

would be soooo much easier.
