Hey Guys I want to talk about the new BMW X1 and 5GT

So I don't like the X1 couse the desing is like the ugly X6

But the 5GT is beautiful!

I have a friend of mine (works for TG, a big automotive fan) in Bulgaria, who went to BMW's central museum last week. Here are some photos. ;)

both are pointless as i said earlier, fo the 5GT, get a 5 series estate, for the X1, get a 5 series estate

I personally believe BMW is the king of pointless car building. X1, 5 series GT, X6, X6M, X5M, the entire 1 series line-up, the list goes on...

Guess who has ride along in the 5GT with a test driver from BMW on a narrow winter road ;) At speeds up to 180 kph!

 

I can say... It's not a pointless car! It is pure german enginering on top level.

Well the engineering is one thing, but where on earth do they fit in BMW's model line-up?? The 5GT is basically a cross between the 5-series estate and X5 and X6, but with neither the practicality of the estate or perceived off-road ability of the X models. What point does it serve?

The reson of having a car like the X6 or as this 5GT is to show the peaple around you that "I have a lot of money". But you are correct in that it is a mix of 2 different moddels and that was still a slight default...

Supercars don't have back seats, the don't want to take you from A to B in maximum comfort with maximum luggage space. They are made to raise your pulse, make your head explode and your thingy to nurse a semi. Those are two very very very different things : luxury cars and supercars. You can't really say that the X1 has a point, cause a LP640 doesn't. Hence, that's why more and more rich people have both a luxury car and a sports car, cause you can't have both in one. ;)
