The cars have exaclty the same engine/powertrain so don't be amazed that they sound the same. They even share the same sound file in NFS.

Polyphony Digital has rarely made realistic car sounds even though they get themselves pictured recording the sounds directly from the real thing.

 

Back in GT-3, the Mustang Cobra R in the game sounded like a Kazoo when it was tuned to 610 horsepower with an open exhaust......

 

A real supercharged V8 bumping 600+ hp with an open exhaust is an angry beast that's ready to rip out your ear drums with the slightest touch to the gas pedal.

sounds good man, especially the spluttering on the over-run (the "off" samples or whatever they're called)

 

if i had to nit pick i would say maybe could you make it rev a little higher? or make it higher pitched? because the final few revs sound just like the real thing :) would be nice if they lasted longer ;)
