My little project *LOTS OF PICS*

I know it has been a long long time since I have been on here, but we had some crap to sort out and now that it is over I am back:D. Anyhow, this is something I have been working on for the last 3 months. It is a Tamiya CC01 Toyota FJ40. This is a 1/10th scale 4 wheel drive remote control car with indepapendent front suspension. a four link rear setup, shaft drivin four wheel drive, and locked front and rear diffs. The mods so far are as follows:

• New Crawling tires
  
• Spare tire
  
• 1 mm life(= to 1 inch lift in real life, a bigger lift is comming)
  
• New softer springs for more flex

I like my FJ40 though, it may be old but it is a donkey, atleast according to Richard Hammond it is:D. I will be getting another one sometime though. I want a Wrangler like the red and blue one in the above post.

It gets pretty serious. These things can be modded to the point of climbing full mountains. You can buy working winches, after market bumpers(will be getting me a set af ARB styled ones soon), roof racks, working auxaliry lighting, fender flares(will be getting some of those too), etc.

Did you base it off of the SCX10 chassis? Alot of people make rigs off of that. All of the pics posted a few about are, with the exception of the white jeep and LR3, are on a SCX10. You should post some pics of it;)

That looks awesome. A year ago I got an RC helicopter which was pretty expensive and tried to fly it and failed. I haven't touched it since. I so wish I got a car now :(

You should get an off road rig. Mine only cost 175 bucks and has been bulletproof.

Sure does:D. It has full time four wheel drive and locking front and rear diffs. Anything you could get for a real FJ40 you can get for this. It is an exact 1:10 scale replica to the real car:drool:. I will post some more vids later and try to find some of highly modded ones to see what they can do.

Nice! A lot of the pics look real! I've always had a thing for RC cars, although never actually done anything with them for ages!

 

I have been thinking of Rc Drift cars though! But sadly my money is in other things right now!:(

RC drift is fun but I prefer the off road side of RCs:D
