What I find strange (in a "I am horrified that people would do this" kind of way) is way movies are rated (and games too, I suppose).

In the US, at least, there are two different kinds of violence. "War Violence" is PG-13 (parental guidance, 13 and older), but "Violence" and "Language" make it R (restricted, 18 and older). So what they're saying is that war and the idea of killing people from a different country for no reason whatsoever (I hate George Bush, by the way - can you tell?) is perfectly acceptable in their eyes, but if someone says the F-word, oh no, we all need to hide under our desks.

It makes complete sense if you ask me. Killing is still killing, but context does change things considerably. GTA and WWII violence are totally different imo; in GTA it's essentially for personal greed (getting paid), with no regard for the innocent. War, on the other hand, can be considered to be a fight for a 'good' cause (depending on the faction), and it is happening for a reason. Even so, if you compare WWII games to present day stuff, I thing the historical aspect has some swaying strength as well ;)
