My Mustang GT

So fall of last year, I purchased my first car. This was my dream car ever since I was a little kids looking at the cars at the dealership. The car was a black 99' 35th Anniversary Edition Ford Mustang GT. I saw it on craigslist and when I went to see it, I fell in love with it.

And I've been driving it ever since. Since I've owned the car, Ive put a few mods on it to make it faster. And thanks to that it currently makes 344 horses to the rear wheels!

I've also tooken it to the drag strip a few times, and the best times I've gotten 8.5 @ 85mph for the 1/8th mile, and 13.5 @103 mph for the 1/4th mile

I can tell you from experience that you are a lucky man. There is simply no feeling in the world like owning your dream car.

Nice to see you concentrated on performance, rather than visual mods ;) That's a great looking car there, maybe you could post a video so we can all admire that V8 rumble?

 

Also, out of curiosity, how old are you, if this is your first car?

That's a pretty sweet car. I remember I used to love that Stang when I was little. When our Taurus broke down my Dad rented a silver Mustang (your generation) and I was such a happy little boy when I saw it parked in our garage. Doesn't the hood open forwards (Corvette style)?

Im jealous. I wish that in the UK we could own a 4.6l V8 when we first learn to drive and not have insurance premiums that cost more than the actual car itself.

Thanks guys! and M a r c o P o l o, I've got borla stingers on it, and a magnaflow x pipe. In my opinion it sounds a lot better then with a flowmaster exhaust but, it pretty much sounds just like that video, execpt little less raspier and more mean :D

Hah yea, I actually really like the stock look of the car, and the stock rims. But I do have another set of bullitt rims that I use for drag racing.

Those are rare motors on mustangs, especially in europe. Most 60s mustangs had 289's in them.

my dad had an old 89 sho back in the day, it looked just like the one in your signature lol

It was a really fast car, especially with the 5 speed.

Im 17, soon turning 18 and yes it is my first car.

I went to work ever since I was 15 to gather money for it.

I know it sounds pathetic :o but, for me, if you have a dream you really really want, then go for it, no matter what.

Hmm, if I remember correctly the hood on that convertible opened forward. Maybe I was just imagining things :confused: or maybe it was just the convertibles.

 

I love the first gen SHOs :D. I have a 91 Taurus GL, that's why I love the first gen SHO so much. You must have been really lucky to have that SHO. It was a great car.

 

The new one, I'll admit, is just a 4WD Taurus with a turbo and SHO badges tacked on. Nothing really sporty, but it's definitely a good all round car.
