Been to see the bike today as well as my helmet.

Whole front end is destroyed and the helmet really has saved my life. There is a big dent on the top were I had hit a rock/wall/sheep? and scratches on the front casued by the barbed wire.

 

It's gonna take a long time to recover but Im happy I should be walking by christmas.

 

Now off to change my dressing :/ fun.....

Wow deffinatly sounds lucky dude. Atleast it shows wearing the right equipment does save lifes. As you see many people riding around maybe with just a helmet and normally wearing shorts and just a t-shirt which would tear there arms open in a accident like that

The bikes looking better these days as im buying parts and having them fitted by a friend.

By the time I can walk the bike will be finished and probably resprayed...

Damn man, I'm sorry to hear that you and the bike are in a bad way! It is lucky you had the biker gear on though, because it obviously saved your life, and the trousers surely saved you from some gnarly gravel rash.

 

Its always unfortunate to hear that a biker has had an accident =/ makes you feel your own mortality as a fellow rider.

 

I hope you recover soon though dude, and I hope you don't give up the biker way of life.

Ordered more parts yesterday! Woop! : Handlebars, Indicaters, Brake levers, Headlight and foot rests.

Still need new speedo and top yokes.
