I considered getting a racing-oriented Playseat, but decided against it. It's a bit useless for the price. I'd say get a big, comfy soft chair like mine:

I like the PlaySeat since you can add/remove a wheel and center post on that chair, which would be handy for gaming away from a desk. PCCaseGear.com has one for $549AU.
