The Logitech Solar Keyboard draws its power from light so you can forget about buying AA batteries and charge it with the light of your workspace.

So few devices actually run on AA batteries these days that you never have them around when you need them. Instead of worrying about your keyboard's batteries, the Logitech Wireless Solar Keyboard charges up with two solar panels on the top. You don't need the light on all the time; once it's fully charged, it can (supposedly) last for months with no light at all. It even comes with a program that'll tell you how much power its currently gaining from the ambient light, so you can play around with your lamp and find the optimal position for fast charging.

The Logitech Wireless Solar Keyboard runs for $71.99, though you can grab a Mac version for only $60.

Seems pretty interesting. I assume most people has to have some sort of light near their computer screen, so this actually seems practical. Plus, people use lights at night, so it's a win win, I guess. :)

OP here.

How often do you have to change the batteries in your current keyboard?

Just seems like a waste of money to me, I've got a decent keyboard with everything I need for a third of the price of that and rechargeable batteries cost hardly anything to charge up. In short, I'll pass..
