Hey guys, I picked MCLA up today, for I think the fourth time (regular version when it first came out on 360, then i traded that for the complete edition, then i traded my xbox 360 for a ps3 and got the complete edition for ps3, then i traded the ps3 last year and finally picked up the complete edition again for 360 lol). Glad to see that the social club photo gallery is still online, as long as its working you'll be seeing sets from me.

 

My first car (i've had the game for a few hours :P ), of course its the 240sx, JDM fanboy here ahah.

 

Supposed to be Midnight Purple III, but the fairly limted colour editor (for these sorts of applications) means its just kinda purpley blue, but I think its about as close as it can be in this game. And the wheels are bronze, its just hard to see at sunrise lol.

 

By the way- I dont know if i'll touch up all my photos or not, frankly the quality is lacking so I think it needs touching up- i'll note whether pictures have been touched up in photoshop or not. These ones have been.

I'd personally say the game as a whole looks better than FM4, MC:LA got the lighting bang on and the textures are amazing for the game's age.

Yes, theres 2 missing, I took them in a nearby tunnel and they both look horrible. I think its just the time of day combined with the colour, they look VERY GTA:SA lol.

 

edit: oh all these were photoshopped as well. If I dont mention either way, assume they are, because like I said earlier, the photo quality isnt that good straight from the game anyway. :P

You can choose everything, and when it comes about painting them... :eek:

The wheel customisation is something loads of games could take away from this game as it was brilliant how you could adjust virtually every aspect about them from the size of the front and rear wheels, the colour of the rim and wheel itself to the brand and width of the tyre. Really impressed me that and I always Pirelli P-Zero on my Lambo's in ultra low profile. :drool:

 

Also the photo quality was always good for me from the game, just had to resize them in Photoshop to 1024 or 800 wide. :)

The rim selection alone is awesome, but yeah, painting them is just as awesome. Nice to have CE28n's again, I put some on my S14. I'll take pictures tomorrow :) (as well as my new 280z :D)

edit: believe me when I say that this car doesnt look how I want it to. For starters, it should have flares, and that bodykit is the closest to stock+chin spoiler :\ Oh and I'd love a ducktail spoiler, but you get to choose from some very ricey horrible wings instead... Some aspects of this game are brilliant, but some- especially some of the body pieces- are just plain confusing. I dont even think kids'd like the bodykits on some cars...

I wasnt happy with the car itself in the photos i took yesterday, so I redid the car with different thinking, and I came up with this beast. I completely adore this car, if only they'd gotten the sound right, rather than it sound like a 4 cylinder, and also, the exhaust tips are ridiculously out of proportion...

This set has been touched up a little in photoshop.

 

And i've made a couple of changes to the S14. The wheels are Volk GTS', and despite what they look like in the pictures, the spokes are bronze and the lip is chrome. Also changed the hood, and added some sexy slotted rotors :)

Does MCLA have an option to shoot cars while driving? and how does it's photomode actualy work? :lol: Is it much like forza or is it more photoshop to make it look good?

You can shoot while driving, basically you pause the game and you can take control of a the camera. It rotates around the car, rather than being able to 'walk around' like in Forza. There are no options for aperture, contrast, exposure, colour- actually, no options at all. Just point and shoot. If you can get the camera pointing where you want it to... lol. The only reason I wont shoot while driving is that rather than having motion blur, it freezes everything, and it looks like the car is standing still anyway lol. Thanks :)

It's okay, but not brilliant. Imo the racing is a bit crap. But the customisation is really nice.

Thanks guys :) Gameplay is alright milli, it is worth playing, and as said, the customization is brilliant- a cut above most other games imo (although any of the body kits- practically anything, actually- that isnt licensed looks like it was designed by a 5 year old).

Figured out a long and fiddly way to make moving shots. The car IS INDEED moving in the original shot, dont worry lol.

It looks alright, IMO, but there is a lot of stuffing around, and it gets complicated if the wheel is partly covered by a fender or something, so I dont know whether I could be bothered to do it much, but dont worry, i'll try to do at least one rolling shot in each set lol.
