Was surprised to see this pop-up on my twitter timeline and I'm glad it did as it was a damn fine and echoed many truths and brought back many brilliant memories of the game and the hours myself and many others here wiled away in the game. I did raise my eyebrow at the part where he mentioned that the online basically worked straight from the off, but apart from that it's a very genuine and insightful article about a game a lot of us adored and I urge you guys to read it. :)

Graphic quality in those photos (probably enhanced) still look great today. If this was an article about a new game coming this year I'd be just as excited

That last pic with all the trees looks stunning

Just makes me hate Atari even more than what I thought was possible for killing it

The most ironic thing to me about TDU is that despite all of TDU2's social features and gimmicks, TDU was the most sociable of the two in that you played the game with your mates, you enjoyed coming across random players on the map and of course you created your own games to play with others.

I've been doing a gamification course and could explain to you why that is using psychological terms such as intrinsic vs extrinsic motivation, autonomy, and self-determining, but I'd put you all to sleep

True Memory.

For me, both PSP & PC memory's are the highlights of my gaming life. :sulk: Also how I met most of you guys way back on the Atari forums many moons ago. :)

First game i can recall playing where I could shut up & take a drive, so many feels for the game.

I have some great memorys from TDU but next to none from TDU2, for me the original TDU just had gaming quality where you would just load the game up and just drive but not actually do anything.

Good article

My best gaming moments of TDU2 have been in the Casino, that's how bad TDU2 is to TDU for me in that it's more fun to not drive but hit the Casino. It's a real shame to as I would like noting more than to explore the huge environment, enjoy the views and slide like a wet seal on oil in the rain.
