Is it a complete joy to drive? If I ever got a higher monthly Internet quota I might consider renewing my account for another month or three.

It's probally the most stable and fun cars to drive in iR. Very good for close racing.

There's a buy one (month) get two (months) free deal on iRacing at the moment. I was quite interested, but I think it'll be like my experience with Xbox Live. I'll buy a six month membership and I'll only ever use it a few times which is a complete was of money.

I've had it for one month - my Internet usgae skyrocketed, even when doing time trials by myself. The driving physics in that sim are second to none though. Every racing fan should play it at least once. I got the one month special for $5 when the driving school videos came out.

Now is pretty much the best time to subscribe to iRacing. Lots of free content comming out, and some awesome stuff just released like the MX-5 and the Willams FW31 F1 car. Okayama will be coming as a free track, and the legendary Spa will be released in the next month of so according to the forum.

If I didn't have to download a massive patch yesterday I'd be pretty interested. Is it free forever (as in can I re-subscribe next year and get it free) or a limited promotion?

I've still got an email from them archived away for a special offer. 3 months for the price of 1. The offer expires this Saturday. Hmmm. I betcha I'd have to download another large patch for it since they've got that new interface now, night racing, etc, etc.

The latest update i downloaded was just over 500mb. About the promotions, i think they go on for quite a while, but i've never used one so i can't be sure.
