Yeah, this is the right bird....now u got the next clue....besides the fact it was produced in '50s (pretty much obvious though) as prototype only and today 1/4 scale model only exists.

I think Firebird II concept is from '56 but u r very close. This prototype has never actually had a 'Firebird' in its name and it was unveiled at the GM '56 Motorama show along with Firebird II.
