  1. Sooooooo hows about a lawnmower with a Mini engine...?
  2. Without chairs how can you drive? :phil:
  3. Sorry to hear about the accident and car Ken, glad to see you are okay despite some small injuries. Woah, trying to picture this early model of horsepower is tough. :D not meaning above in bad taste but just being literally literal is all
  4. The future of AC is looking mighty good it would appear, some very choice wants from their players that they seem to be providing, and I wonder if the overcast weather additions are leading to rain to hit later this year.
  5. Anyone else want to share their silky driving settings for others that may be looking for a better experience in the game?
  6. Good pack and befitting of the name for once. The Lotus Cortina being the free car may seem an obvious one but by gum I bet it's masses of fun!
  7. Learning from my many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many mistakes is what makes me the close to competent admin I am today. :nods:
  8. Nope, plenty of enthusiasts on consoles too, facebook/iOS/android is the casual's gaming domain. PC gaming is fantastic though and will always be better in terms of visuals and modifications but a folly of it is that some (most?) devs choose the brute force approach rather than more direct optimisation to get more out of the components as a whole. This is indeed changing somewhat with AMD's Mantle and DirectX12 and whatever else is coming to succeed OpenGL but due to the literally tens of thousands of combinations it is nigh on impossible for devs to get as much out of and continue to push out even more what is in everyone's PC than it is with a fixed hardware system such as a console. As for PSN being a bag of spanners at the moment, they went the pay route so now they have to provide a service befitting of that and with a direct competitor in Xbox Live they have to at least provide a comparable service. You do get more 'goodies' with PSN than you do with XBL and the free games and discounts with Plus are easily worth the money itself but at it's very core is the multiplayer and networking features. If they cannot provide that reliably then they are not providing the service that people are primarily paying for. Of course charging for the service now means money, and money means profits, however Sony isn't the most financially sound company at the moment and are pulling out of and selling their properties to bring in the funds. Yes PS4 is selling and really well too but it's not the holy saviour (that's their financial and insurance sector) and as a whole the profits go to benefit the company, usually to prop-up the losses of another division (phones, tv, computing) or cover R&D. In time the PS4 will get hardware revisions and become more profitable helping bring in even more money but with more sales equals more players online and unless they start building up PSN to be robust and strong they may find people jumping to Xbox or perhaps even the PC.
  9. Dedication with a dollop of utter Madness. Nice.
  10. The DNA and make up behind this car and the fact that's it's very light should make for one momentously fun driving experience.
  11. Jack Bauer was good though, especially his story about Charlie Sheen and the horse.
  12. Haha Ry that was so well done. And Nikki you look not a day over [spoil][iNSERT YOUR OWN NUMBER HERE][/spoil]. :D
  13. The new Focus RS is like a redesign of the Impreza hatch with added Liquify filter on the back. As for the Ferrari, I'm not sure I dig it, yes it has traces of the 458 and the side profile does put me in mind of the gloriously beautiful 355, but there's just something off about the front that I can't quite put my finger on.
  14. Here's 3 of my favs over the times. Is the banner broken? High Gas Prices turned flatulent Interesting. (I always lose it at 2010rrsupercharged's post)
  15. We removed Tapatalk due to a security risk, will see about getting it back on if the feedback and measures taken look good.
  16. Ah yes and don't forget this epic capture from that visit. Baldy's immense driving skills
  17. Was kind of wanting the threads so people could look at them.
  18. It's not for me, we have a member contacting via twitter looking for info on how to get this to work, so a run down of How to would be great. :D
  19. Guys a question: is there any idiots guide to getting this working or a video tutorial for those who may not be your typical PC maestro? Thanks.
  20. Here's something to do guys, find a thread you remember on here specifically and say why. Would be good to see how different timelines show up with this. If you can remember something accurate about it then use our Google search or search the big G for site:forum.turboduck.net "search term" to help locate it easier. :D
  21. So glad I took the backup when I did. Also here's the very first instance that Internet Archive got of us.
  22. I absolutely loved episode 2. The production, camera work, driving and stunt-driving along with the blasts of raw engine sound and exhaust made for a really enjoyable episode for me. It didn't feel as scripted except for 1 or 2 parts imo but even this was eclipsed by the sheer majesty of the shots -- normal speed and slo-motion -- done by the crew and production team. Many times I said 'WOW' under my breath and listening to the BMW and Bentley snort and grunt and watching "James" driving the GT-R up the makeshift hillclimb course just seriously made me happy that I was watching Top Gear the car programme again. [spoil]Was I the only one thinking it was a bit unsafe having 2 massive JCB's parked aside one another for the finish line on a gravel track?[/spoil] And honestly I think the 3 of them loved returning back to this sort of operation too.
