  1. After so long do we really need to go over the same outbursts and crap that we have heard many times before?! So what if every modder wants to do the same car, it's their time and effort and it is what they want to do. Do you feel the same about every car programme or magazine that reviews the same press car? It's not entirely the same I know but it is along the same lines. Let people do what they choose to do and if you don't like it, find someone else who is doing something you do like. I'm not one of those who will throw out the whole 'well if you want X then learn to do Y yourself' retort as sometimes it is just too difficult for others to get their head round certain tasks or methods and so it is pointless to use this. So, unlike the world seems to be content to do today, let's learn from past mistakes and examples and not go on repeating them.
  2. If you are a player of The Crew on your PC and haven't purchased any of the normal DLC then you may like to know that the Season Pass is available to buy right now for only $9.99.
  3. Yo Eesh while you're here get your post marked with 'Entry Post' if you want to be in this one.
  4. After so long hearing about it all it is good to know that it is finally almost here. Amazon are probably going to see a ton of those 30-day free trials getting taken up on Friday.
  5. Ubisoft have been giving away some of their games for absolutely not a penny* the last number of months and even though only The Crew was mentioned on here previously, I felt it right to give their latest offering a shout out as it is the undeniably outrageous but damn fun spin-off Far Cry Blood Dragon. Think 80s cheesiness, lots of bright neon colours and other novelty additions. Ubisoft Club - Ubi30 A good title for killing time and having a good old fashioned gaming experience. *requires Uplay
  6. That's a nicely setup shot Ozz, the colours of the surroundings and dirt on the car combine to make quite a pic.
  7. ’Calling All Units’ Key Giveaway Players of The Crew can get themselves in with a chance of winning a ‘Calling All Units’ expansion key with the latest Community Challenge to go live in the game. Open to all players and platforms from November 16th - 22nd, the Los Angeles based ‘Fake Out’ challenge will pit them against a prison bus that is accompanied with a heavy police escort. At the end of the challenge the top 20 players on each platform of PS4, Xbox One and PC will be sent a key. It is also important to note that in order to take part game accounts must be linked to Uplay, as this is how the lucky winners will be contacted. It's unclear if the key will activate before the official release of the 29th or if those who win will need to hold off until then before activating, but seeing as it is only a week either way, it really isn't that much of an issue to be fair. The Crew 'Calling All Units' expansion is out November 29th on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. [via The Crew blog]
  8. You've had plenty of times to get used to the rules by now so if you don't have 'Entry Post', I will not be accepting your entry.
  9. Pure Porsche Excellence With a week to go until Assetto Corsa Porsche Pack Volume 2 is released for the PC version of Assetto Corsa, Marco Massarutto has been at it again in just casually dropping images of some of the contents of the pack on his own Facebook page. The first Porsche pack was quite something to behold when images were shown of it before its release but these latest shots are on another level due to the cars that are in them. Real Porsche pedigree is on display with the 911 GT1, 919 Hybrid 2015, 911 GT3 RS and the classic 718 Spyder RS all getting their own images but the one that really catches your attention – or at least it did mine – is the group shot of the 3 racecars of the 911 GT1, 919 Hybrid 2015 and the 962c all together on track. This image alone will sell the game to people as that is like a holy trinity in itself. Two cars are missing from these showings though: the 718 Boxster S and the Cayman GT4, however we get the feeling that they will grace us with their presence in not too long if past showcases is anything to go by. UPDATE://1 - Marco posted this brilliant shot of the 718 Spyder RS and the 718 Boxster S side-by-side. Quite a difference in size in the more than 50 years between them. Assetto Corsa – Porsche Pack Volume 2 Contents Porsche 911 GT3 RS Porsche 718 Spyder RS Porsche Cayman GT4 Porsche 718 Boxster S Manual Transmission Porsche 718 Boxster S PDK Porsche 919 Hybrid 2015 Porsche 911 GT1 Porsche 962c Long Tail Porsche 962c Short Tail The PS4 and Xbox One are still waiting for Porsche Pack Volume 1 and it is coming but wow it would be mighty annoying to have the second Porsche pack drop before the console even gets the first. Assetto Corsa Porsche Pack Volume II is due to release on November 22ndvia Steam for PC. Don’t forget that you can buy the Porsche Season Pass (also available on console) and enjoy a saving of 28% on buying the three packs individually. 12. Ah sorry, thought you may have had one in mind. Just post it in here when you're good.
  13. The luminous strong colour really suits the car, makes it pop more!
  14. That looks crazy and like something out of of a messed up dream. The visuals really work for the whole thing and are quite stunning and the landscape seems to be well thought out. Always cool to see the new stuff you have to show in regards to this project.
  15. Congratulations to Mr Bean! ...oops I mean The Compensator who is the winner of tbc #79!! Was a fun contest to watch, with 4 entries making a clear leap to the front in the first few days with the rest of the pack not too far behind. As we got to the final days though, the Mini started to eek out ahead and managed to stay there.
  16. Assetto Corsa Will Get Private Lobbies After all the delays that the console version of Assetto Corsa experienced, you would have honestly expected Kunos Simulazioni to realise that certain features such as Private Lobbies and the use of purchased content online to be obvious ones to have. This was not the case though, as for whatever reason these were left out. Being a small team we can of course allow them some sway in this matter but just looking on their official channels you can see that the lack of Private Lobbies is probably the most often raised criticism. And rightly so, after all many a racing game has come and gone and given players the ability to set up their own lobby, where like-minded racers or friends can join without the worry that some random is going to cause trouble or disruption. It also allows for leagues and championships which the more hardcore of the racing community are very fond of. Then there is being able to use your purchased DLC online, I mean come on this should be common sense should it not? A bad start can tar a title and turn people away indefinitely and the only way to bring it back in front of them is for those who are still playing to show that the game is vastly improved over what it was. Naturally, this takes the support of the developers to give these people a reason to keep playing in order to exhibit the changes but it can be done, just look at DRIVECLUB after all. Incredibly, as we approach the proposed release date of Porsche Pack Volume 2, the consoles still do not have Volume 1. There is no release date even hinted at yet and so those on console will just have to keep waiting until a date is officially revealed. Porsche Pack Volume 1 Porsche 911 Carrera S Porsche 918 Spyder Porsche 911 Carrera RSR 3.0 Porsche 718 Cayman S Porsche 917/30 Spyder Porsche 935/78 'Moby Dick' Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport Just like the PC saw last month, the console update (Version 1.09) that will accompany the pack will include the Porsche Panamera G2 Turbo as well as the historic Silverstone circuit for free. 19. I actually said "damn" out loud on that first BMW M4 shot.
  20. Can Never Have Too Much Alfa The Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio (just rolls off the tongue) is coming to Assetto Corsa in 2017, Marco Massarutto has revealed. Posting the news as a way to cheer up everyone in the world, he shared the news on his Facebook page about the latest piece of metal to be officially licensed for the game. Not only an aggressive beauty to look at, the Alfa GQ has a powerplant underneath its bonnet/hood that was born to sit there and is in fact derived from the Ferrari California. Producing a whopping 505bhp from the 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6, this engine propels the Italian marque's answer to the BMW M3 to 100 km/h (62mph) in 3.9 seconds and carries it on towards a top speed of 307 km/h (190mph), and all from the rear wheels. Alfa Romeo are already in the game so it is not as if this announcement is a total surprise but hearing that Kunos are still signing up new cars is good to hear and should provide some assurance to its playerbase that support, is still very much on the agenda into the new year. One thing that can easily be deduced from all the media and reviews of this car is, that it is a lot of fun and a real drivers car. Maybe not having the nimbleness in the steering as a BMW but still on par with what BMW and their M division have been kicking out for so long. When you look at it this way, what Alfa Romeo have achieved with this car is quite remarkable.
