Been playing it for a while, and honestly...
I would give it a 5 or 6 out of 10...or maybe I'm just being too generous, maybe a 3/10 would do better.
Why?
-Heavy, unpredictable, boaty and awkward driving physics
-Short gameplay
-Lacking number of cars
-All cars except the Nissan GT-R Egoist (presumably the 4x4s don't feel the same) feel the same, heavy and slow. Stats say otherwise but the game shows you otherwise when you drive them.
-Traffic cars love to appear out of nowhere
-Ridiculously easy AI
-Sensitive handbrake
-Cops are too easy to evade
-No main menu, you just jump straight in
-No photomode
-You can't even scratch a traffic car through a drift without the game stopping you saying you "crashed"
-Variety of colours? Come on, where are the factory colors for each car? They are all the same colour for each car (except for a few)
-Nitrous feels weak
-I can't even achieve the 0-100 time the GT-R has in real life (currently 2.7 secs) without mods
-Weren't there 16 blacklist members originally? I said 16 because you have to beat Rog in order to get the #16 spot to take on Sonny, etc.
-Game feels buggy at times (One day I played at 90+fps, everything was fine, then the next day it went down to 33-40fps and then after an hour of gameplay it went back to 90+..and yes I had unnecessary programs closed)
-Pausing\slowing the game down just to explain everything? Uhh...okay..
-Some cars are hard to find (I haven't even found a ZL1 Camaro yet..)
-If you want to go to a certain spot on the map in the pause menu without the pointer being magnetized by a carspot\race location, etc...Good luck.
-No RPM speedo + no gear number
-When installing mods, don't do it in a hairy situation, and don't do it while drifting either..just don't. If you do, don't say I didn't warn you.
-Too many jackspots with the same car
And that's the cons. Here are the pros;
-Cars cannot be customizable (a.k.a. ricing), they just come as they are, like they should
-Criterion is actually doing better than EA to not allow ricing
-You can change the settings\modify your car while you're driving (Really...that is a pretty cool thing)
-You don't have to buy mods to get them in your car..they just get unlocked
-Mods can be installed instantly with a push of a button
To be honest, I'm glad that I am buying Forza 4 and Horizon soon. I think I'll ditch the NFS series for good now, screw this, I'm going back to High Stakes.
