You can get different skins for Steam? This is new to me D:

Winamp, tons of skins (great UIs), easy to use, etc. etc. Most media players are essentially the same, I just prefer Winamp for its small mode, which makes it turn into just a small bar with the basic buttons, and because it works with a lot of crap e.i., tons of codecs, everything has a Winamp plugin, etc.

Yeah, but it's so badly optimized that I can't run it with mods. And I can't stand the "story line"

I considered The Witcher, but I'm not sure I can really get into an RPG anymore, my attention span is gone. L4D I hate with a passion, completely hopeless game. GTA4 was ok for about 10 minutes, then I got over the graphics and realized that it was one of the worst optimized and badly written games I've ever played. Serious Sam I've never played, will check it out

Just watched some Split second gamplay, it looks like the sort of fantasy racing that I'd just get fed up with in about 5 minutes. I'm seriously considering the MX VS ATV, I'm just worried about the difficulty, these games tend to be either way too easy, or epically hard because of AI actions EDIT: Buying Reflex, as soon at the Steam store decides to stop failing D:

Thought about Portal 2, but it doesn't really "grab" me as much anymore. So SkyDrift isn't much fun on your own then? What about those MX VS ATV games? Reflex is on Steam for like 20 bucks I've spent a good portion of my time here so far playing Offroad Fury 2, these sort of things hook me

Right, I'm at my moms house for the month helping out and stuff, and don't want to pay the ridiculous fee to transfer my internet over. But, since my ISP piggybacks from another ISPs servers, I have internet until they notice that I'm nowhere near my house (brought my modem). Which will probably be about 2 days, like last time I was away from home. So basically I want to buy a game to keep me busy, it has to be interesting enough to keep me busy for a month, and would be best if on Steam, though that can change. Oh, and under about $30 would be great, since that's what my VISA's at right now :P Stuff that's kept me busy in the past: Ocarina of time Pokemon red/blue/yellah Racing games (I have my wheel here, but the desk I've set up on is fairly small, so trying to avoid that) Good shooters, not CoD, it has to have a good SP, since that's what I'll be playing and I'm not fond of MP FPSs I'm sure there are others, but can't think of any at the moment

There should be a selectable darkish theme for the whole board, that way we could actually read all those old posts without ctrl+A ;D

It could be, with the right mod. But it would have to be one with 3D trees, the 2D trees are REALLY terrible looking at times because of how they react with the camera

I have to say, this is one of those rare cases where I don't give a hoot about the release being pushed back. Considering who's developing it, it most likely means a better game in the end. I just hope that it's just as open and immersive as FC2. The only thing I don't like so far is the main baddy, he seems WAY too played up, but I guess that's one of those things I'd have to know the actual storyline to judge

Sorry to hear that, Clarence. Really sucks when something like that comes up ----- ^Image related. Thursday we had to go to Sick Kids hospital for my sons last cast to be removed, as he has clubfoot. He had to get a "boots and bar" setup (Exactly like the image above, but with a boy in it,) put on instead, has to keep it on 23 hours a day for three months. I thought he'd be happier with it since he can at least bend his legs now, but no, he's bloody miserable. He screams as if I'm killing him after putting it on again when his hour of freedom is over, really makes me feel like crap. He won't sleep through the night anymore either, keeps waking up screaming once he realises that they're still on him. The longest stretch of sleep I've had since Wednesday was 12 minutes. I don't think I can take three months of this.
