Nissan Pulsar/Sunny GTI-R. Poor image quality is a result of a shaky hand and not having a camera on me.

The fact that we knew so many cars were coming to the game before its release - not to mention that the cars look to be ready - whereas specs that we should have had are not, is leaving a very bad taste in my mouth. The lack of cars is something that gets mentioned as a big negative to this game and whoever decided that McLaren should be gotten through DLC only needs a punch to the back of the head.

The map of this game is amazing. No doubts. Its vast, its beautiful, its immersive and there are lots of challenges for any driver. Truly wonderful to behold. The cities are pretty big as it is, and then you realise there are hundreds of miles between them with the same level of detail. Incredible.

Vehicle models are pretty nice too, things like the charger's headlights are good and I'm keen on customisation options.

Sadly I haven't seen any way to edit fullstock vehicles colour. I'm happy with my viper freebie(ish, it uses the uPlay points) but I wish I could have it stock in yellow with black stripes, but sadly I have to have it as Perf to modify it, which cuts a whacking great hole in the bonnet.

Was certainly nice of The Crew to give you a chunk of Canadough Freemium Moneygrab Crew Credits early on. You make money so slowly in the game that I have already started resenting the CC system since over 40 levels I've only just got around $150,000 gaining money the normal way.

The high prices do help to take away the sting of less cars, it must be said, I've not really wanted much more than is there. Sadly this doesn't help the AI in races which always seem to be the same assortment, seemingly even in the same colours. Some variation wouldn't have gone amiss there.

Bugs: lots of them, I've had 4 hard crashes and hundreds of smaller things I'd be putting in. Literally no polish there, their lack of in-house QA is glaringly apparent. Will elaborate in my full review, and wait for a potential hotfix.

Lets talk about immersion. More specifically, driving around in freemode with some music on having a cruise and finding sat stations and wrecks. You can't get into the mindset that you're cruising because you are being constantly nagged about the next mission. Seriously, early on you'd get a nag message even when you were en-route to the next mission. The game is constantly on your back to do things. One of my favourite things in TDU were the vehicle delivery missions because you'd take long leisurely drives over the map in a classic car and just take in the scenery. Nothing in this game is so relaxed. You have a timer for taxiing people to your safehouse for crying out loud.

There is a page taken out of GRID 2's book which is 'constant doucebag commentary of your race' which is unwelcome. I know that i'm not in first, stop telling me when I am/am not winning the race. And stop with the intro movies. You already get a short brief on the phone/if you start from map, I care not for the same lines of dialogue and cutscene every time I restart a bloody hard mission.

The story is terrible. I feel like I'm doing MMO grinding just to advance a terrible story so that I can do events in a different bit of a really good map. I don't care about Alex. He looks like Gordon Freeman. Also gangs don't back off when you beat them in a race. There are hundreds of stories about racers to be told, even stories about street racers. Look at Initial D, that revolves around taking territories as part of a racing team... but no, weird car mafia it is. Characters so far have ranged from 'forgettable' to 'cringeworthy'. Also the Ubisoft 'we can't do females' stigma has carried over as so far its failed the Bechdel test.

I like the game, otherwise I wouldn't be playing it so much, but my god is it doing my head in.

This is more for us in the UK, as but I know the problem happen's else where.

In short, in a famous race track with rich history that can help the local economy and also provide thousands of people and drivers joy with track days and races on track. Often being a good provider for people with hotels, B&B's, Pub's and jobs in what can often be rural areas.

Then someone moves in near by(Often fully knowing that the track is there, and has been for many years) and then moans about the sound levels. This then means the track get's slapped with a noise restriction and this really effect the track (meaning many event's can be held) and limit how many track days they can do. Bad for us the fans and even the local's who live there. (Croft fell victim to this a few years ago, and ended up paying out a 6 figure sum in compensation as well!)

So some guy's came up with making one of them Gov E-Petitions to try and have it so tracks can weaver noise limit's.

It's got over 14,500 on it alreday, so hopefully can bump it up enough so it actually has to be talked about in parliament.

So yeah, this happened. A3 has sadly seen its best days and it was time for me to move on and get something bigger (and with air conditioning, didn't want my car to become a sauna during the summers!). Things went kinda well and it all came down to this - time to meet my A4!

It's a 2003 B6 with the 2.0l petrol engine. No quattro sadly, would have been too expensive. I really wanted an avant too but this is still better than fine by me :D

It has only done about 157 000km, which isn't a lot for a 11 year old car in Finland. In fact, it's basically nothing at all. Only few minor faults with this car, mostly interior-related (stuff like the glovebox hinges being broken from one side, nothing too bad)

Haven't really had time to take any photos yet but more pics from the interior etc will come :nods:

    I love this car :D

TheXRacer reacted to Milli in Gran Turismo honors Ayrton Senna's memories
Recently, Sony released this documentary to honor Ayrton Senna's memories. After all, it's been 20 years since he only lives inside our memories, inspiring people to do good things and keep forward. Not only that, Gran Turismo released a section about Senna in their webpage and also annoucend a future DLC, that will be added for free in the game in a next update.

So far, we only know about one car, the Lotus 97T, driven by Ayrton in 1985.

P.S. This actually makes me really happy, and not only about the Senna's DLC, but about the partnership with Ayrton Senna's Institute. By doing such thing, Gran Turismo will now help children in my country! A racing game never had so much respect from me.

I'm sure some of you know the back story, somewhat of a love affair.

I've had a thing for the little Suzuki ever since Gran Turismo 4, after finding the little car with the name of a drink I though it was funny. Turns out it was a great giant killer in the game as well. I took an interest in the thing, looking up random facts, info, dreaming how I'd like one IRL, eventually getting obsessed with the thing. The year's went by and the Gran Turismo games came out, firing my love up again. Every so often I'd look and see if any were for sale, which being a rare car in the UK makes them kinda hard to come by at times. As the years go by and life go's on I was always on the lookout. When finally able to drive and with a proper job things got even more real and the hunt to get one got fired up even more, looking at about 4 over the past 2 & a bit years traveling all over (one trip alone was 1200 miles altogether!).

Then on April 2nd, my I get a text from my dad, saying "Theres a coffee for sale on Pistonheads, its local". After finding it I could't get over that one was finally for sale locally and going cheap. Low mileage and some welding needed, seemed too good to be true! After messaging the guy and asking to have a look I had to wait 3 weeks(guy worked on the oil rigs). The day comes and we got to have a look, bodywork is good & expected from a 20 year old car and it runs sweet, and has a full history and EVERYTHING is there. Oh and it was an original UK car. It has't been on the road since 2008 and needed a bit of welding.

I took the risk and bought it for £1450. Good price considering the mileage (36k miles) and the fact that it could need the full works in terms of welding(a normal cappuccino thing). You normally pay about £2500 for one, and that's with double the miles and it could still need welding.

So after years I finally own a Cappuccino, pleased as punch you could say.

After getting it moved to a garage to give it and MOT and work on the Sills, my worst fear is confirmed and it need's welding on all the normal places a expected on a Cappuccino. Can't say i never expected it, but a little gutted to say the least. But it's nothing in the grand scale of things, I half expected it and it'll be getting done!

Just a few of the bits...

So watch this space! As I know exactly what I'm doing to it. Be worried, this pint sized motor has't gotten named after James dean's 550 for nothing! ;)
