1. [headline]Time to get the show on the road![/headline] What's this about? Think of it as turboduck's own Rivals, but with some proper rivalry in the community. The Rules: You must use the car (or a car that meets the restrictions) and track chosen by the previous winner. Tuning/Setups are allowed this week. Dirty laps do not count, stay off the lawn kids. Laps do not have to be from a standing start (flying laps count). If you already have a faster lap recorded outside of the competition, this does not count, you must record another and take a picture for proof. Banana for scale. If you win, don't forget to chose a car/track for the next week before Monday! Make sure to do your times in RIVALS (or free play), they will not be recorded in test drive. The time attack ends Saturday at 23:59 GMT and the winner has 24 hours to choose, then it defaults to the person in second if no choice is made. 2. The photomode does looks stunning but the visuals in the actual gameplay don't seem that great to me if I'm honest. A low amount of AA and around the wheel arches for the cars for examples they don't seem to be smooth curves. And is this a main game in the franchise or a prologue style game or a side game? Can't quite tell but the car count is quite low and lots of racecars. :hmmm: Hope GT7 is still a thing that is coming.
3. Humble CAPCOM Super Turbo HD Remix Re-Bundle The Humble Bundlers have humbled together another mighty tasty Humble Bundle for all of us to sink our teeth into and donate to charity whilst doing it. With this bundle you can support the Kumamoto Japan Earthquake Relief Fund. But you must be quick, you only have 5 days and 20 hours before this bundle will disappear for all eternity. The current Humble Bundle is in partnership with CAPCOM and features some of their best games including Resident Evil and Devil May Cry. For $1 to $9.27(at time of writing) you can get STRIDER, Resident Evil 2 - Ep... *eaten by zombies*. Maybe I should try shooting them rather than speaking the game title aloud! See for yourself what you can get below. Get the bundle here. If you pay more than the average you can get your hands on the 6 games/DLCs below on top of the 4 games and 2 discounts above. Because it's the average price, it will be constantly changing but it should stay around the $9 or $10 mark. For those of you feeling especially generous or adventurous you can get Devil May Cry 4 and Resident Evil 6 when you pay $15 or more. Enjoy your new games and warm fuzzy feeling. Go you!
4. So was the engine in my Mini. Still looked like it had been run on coal for its whole life though! :p I saw that, but changing the exhaust sadly won't fix years of hoonery. And damn right Panda 4x4. :p
5. With a poo shoot like that, you can be sure the car has been thrashed to within an inch of its life though.
6. That does look like it could be good fun, assuming that I could keep my plane from eating dirt. Which I don't think is something that I would be able to do very often at all.
7. Cal for me on this. The 4x4 Panda is great in an odd way. Don't ask. And I'm awfully sorry, I appear to have left my it in my... Jaaaaaagggggggg. MR2s are good if you can find a good example of one. Insurance is pretty reasonable once you get to 23 over here it seems. For me it is anyway now.
8. I watched ACS when they aired it on BBC a few months ago. I thought it was actually pretty good and it certainly pulled me in to the point where I was looking forward to the next episode each week Also, as is probably the case with most of us. Game of Thrones! That last episode has set the wheels in motion for the rest of the season to start getting pretty tasty! Fighting, boobs and dragons. What is not to love?
9. You have falsely represented my entry. It is a partially assembled Mini. I should win by default due to this unsolicited attack on my choice of cars.
10. 2001 Range Rooney Vogue - £2995 I do quite like the old Land Rover and Range Rooneys and I'm sure that they can handle a few wet leaves on the road with great ease. 2005 Audi A4 Avant S Line - £2995 What's not to like about the estate Audis? Just about enough power, it can transport a loaf of bread in comfort and it should be good at munching those motorway miles without breaking a sweat. It even comes with the indicators that are optional features on all German cars. An Mini! - £700 Who doesn't like a project? Or a classic Mini? The remaining £810 would go on getting it road worthy.
11. Looks a bit like something you'd see on the back of a 17 year olds Vauxhall Corsa. And because I'm 10 years behind all the cool kids.
12. And this is why I don't buy nice things. Not even had the car 2 weeks yet. In this case it was an arsehole in a Landrover going too fast with unsuitable tyres for the road. Those massive knobbly offroad tyres that stick out from the side of the car 6 inches. It threw up a small rock that's put 2 separate cracks on the drivers side of the windscreen. Seems unlikely that they'll be able to repair it due to how deep the cracks are, where they are and how close together they are.
13. Me what. His win was kinda gifted to him on a plate. No Mercs to win the race, Ferrari weren't all that fast(Did Kimi even make 1 attempt to get along side/pass him?) and RB screwed Ricciardo over with the strategy and then he got a puncture. All Verstappen had to do was drive around the track and not fall off of it. You know, like Hamilton and Rosberg do but you give them crap for it all the time. It's great for Verstappen and I'm happy for him. It's a day he and his family will never forget. Was also a good race on a track where races can be quite dull to watch a lot of the time.
14. 4th. What a noob. Hamilton had better get a good start, not get crashed into or have some sort of failure on his car tomorrow.
15. I've been trying to think of a game that I could post in this thread other than the obvious TDU. But I can't. At the time it was the perfect game for me, and probably still is. Had so much fun on TDU and met some truly great people, and some truly awful people too. I still have vivid memories of the game. Like Diablo in his dark coloured (blue?) Audi S6 that had incredible brakes making me crash into the back of him as he turned off onto a side road before a tunnel whilst listening to Capital FM. But it was the Gran Turismo series that got me into racing games before Forza took over and took it to another level for me. :nods: And then there's the old Colin McRae games, loved them! Even though I was dreadful at them. And Toca. Loved Toca 3. Lawnmower racing anyone?
16. That looks incredible! As you say, much better than just spawning AI after AI that ram you. Looks like it's great fun and very difficult trying to escape form them.
17. The mountain roads in the North east of the TDU map. Just to the right of the city in the middle at the top. Long straights and sharp mountainous hairpins in a forest. Brilliant.
18. Wazzock. Maybe he will shock us all and not actually be that bad. For his, and our sake I hope that is the case.
19. That's a... terrible name. :( Let's hope the show makes up for it. And I'm sure it will, and then some.
20. SHEEEEP! Looks good to me apart from the annoying ginger person. :(
21. Damn. Something so big looking so small still boggles the mind. Things like this really put other things not like this into perspective. And then in the grander scheme of things the Milky Way is tiny even though it's incomprehensibly huge. How insignificant does it make you feel?
22. :birthday: oh slow one. :p Have a good'en Paladin Dev Clarence Gaming Skylark!
