  1. They can't do the entire weather system in just one week  Considering last week we didn't have any clouds or water particles progress is going pretty well. Be sure to subscribe to this thread to keep on top of it: WMD Forum
  2. Congrats mate, definitely add that to your resume`
  3. Welcome to the dark side  :p
  4. Doesn't look too bad, maybe except for when you see it next to the old one and realise how much bigger it is
  5. What program do you use to listen to music on your PC (if you actually do that)? Are you completely boring and use Windows Media Player? Are you a crowd-following iTunes user? Or are you using something a bit more fruitylicious? I don't actually listen to music that much on my PC, since my library has been pretty stagnant since I stopped using LimeWire, etc years ago back when I went to school. Actually I don't listen to music that much at all besides when I'm in the car. I do play songs on the digital piano though. In any case, I've always avoided programs that mess with my files, or attempt to 'organise' them (or organise ripped audio from CDs). I've already organised them to my liking in Windows Explorer so that I can easily drag'n'drop files onto other devices without needing another program, or easily accessing them via networked devices. For that reason I've had VLC media player as my default app for more than a few years since it plays everything, doesn't install codecs onto the PC (which can cause other programs like Nero or Windows DVD maker to crash), and it's simple yet powerful (nerdy features such as allowing me to stream music or videos from my phone to the PC easily over WiFi using the VLC android app). Also like how it stays out of the way and doesn't command a large portion Thinking of trying some other enthusiast apps out there so seeing what you all use and recommend, or perhaps you might be interested to trying something else as well. A quick search has revealed the following contenders (I remember some of these names from yeeeeears ago so I was a little surprised to see they're still being developed: Audacious - http://audacious-media-player.org/ aTunes - http://www.atunes.org/ Media Monkey - http://www.mediamonkey.com/ foobar 2000 - http://www.foobar2000.org/ Haven't tried any of these yet but will have a go. Ideally I'm after something that allows me to easily manage separate music libraries. i.e. I might have separate folders for classical, instrumental, trance, and commercial music and it gets annoying when an old song interrupts a good random list of newer fast-paced stuff (which is why up 'til now I've had everything in separate folders and just dragged those folders onto VLC when I want to play them). I've never really been a fan of setting up playlists either (at least spending more than 10 seconds creating one).
  6. Does FM4 have night-racing? :)
  7. Hope it's only police cars who have spike strips. I didn't like how racers also had weapons in HP2010. ---------- Post added at 09:49 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:08 AM ---------- You forgot this:
  8. One day I will actually notice the entry thread and participate in this :fuming:
  9. Get with the program guise! :cheeky: Forgot to post Friday night since I'm usually stuffed after playing squash with friends. I was doing a race on the weekend there and thought that'll do since we haven't done that track before.
  10. I'll grant you that the new Silverstone layout can be a tad confusing, but how on earth do you manage to not know the right way around Monza? :D I just love how 17 weeks into this comp for a pre-alpha game we've still got a number of tracks that haven't been competed on yet, after already picking 14 different tracks)
  11. I'm pretty sure it would be cheaper to sell my car and buy a GTI...
  12. Mb, please also message me something so I don't feel left out.
  13. The new DSG 7 did have problems and I had the clutch pack replaced recently under warranty. That said, I've been in a newer 90TSI and 118TSI Jetta (same DSG7) which are very different to my 2009 car and much better. Glad they fixed it but sucks knowing mine still isn't as good (more pedal lag). I solved that by getting a Sprint Booster adapter but that seems to have contributed to clutch issues, so it's a bit catch 22. I keep telling myself I'll look at a Mk7 GTI when they come out but it'll still be hard to say goodbye to my unique/special Golf (never seen another one close to mine with the interior and extra options). @Harley need the DSG6 gearbox found in the GTI and R if I want more power. /ot
  14. I wish, the Golf R is 5.7 seconds stock. Mine is about 6.7 (down from 8.0 stock)
  15. Not quite. Around 200hp, but being a hatch it's lighter than most common powerful cars. Biggest problem is attempting quick starts and the weight quickly shifts to the back away from the driven wheels. That said I once embarrassed a young Supra driver :)
  16. Anyway, just got my RAC car Insurance renewal letter (yes I know this is not the bad day thread) 5 year membership discount - $92.48 Rating 1 discount (6+ years no claim) - $1,142.06 Flexi Excess Discount - $92.24 Annual price for full comprehensive insurance: $632.49 (over $200 cheaper than when I first insured the Golf 2 years ago). For an under 25 year old driving a twin-charged newish car you have to admit that's pretty awesome. :cheeese:
  17. Huh? Game price isn't going to change in 3 months, is it? And I didn't spend anywhere near as much on my 2nd-hand Golf as you may think, I was just in the right place at the right time and knew the right person.
  18. Why the rush to preorder anyway? Just wait until early October; won't make any difference.
  19. There's a FAQ/thread on the TDU2.com forums that explains this. Turn on UPnP and/or setup port forwarding rules for TDU2 so that your PC can talk more freely with the TDU2 servers and other players. The launcher status isn't the last word in connectivity anyway, I've often not been able to sign in online at all when it's all green and open. Not a big problem since I don't play TDU2 any more.
