  1. I wouldn't be trusting benchmark scores on hardware where's you're aiming to scrape the minimum requirements. Benchmarks and games stress out hardware in different ways. Open world games with a high player velocity (i.e. 300kph+ vehicle vs walking) also bring about unique stresses compared to other games. Please do not try and use an Intel Atom for PC gaming. It is Intel's equivalent of the type of processor found in modern smart phones. The absolute worst CPU you should be looking at is an i3, if not an older i5, paired with a discreet graphics card. If money is the issue, look for a 5yo second hand gaming PC. A new i3 with HD4000 built-in graphics on its own may be able to play pre-2010 games at medium-low settings with around 30fps. That's if the game developers included any support for Intel graphics - some require AMD/nVidia GPUs.
  2. TDU1 (PC) online is alive and well on community servers, you just need to get the Island Paradise mod. It's a little hard to complain about the current state of TDU2 given that Atari went bankrupt a few years ago. The Crew is probably the next best supported open-world racing game right now (when I say 'next best', I actually mean 'better' imo)
  3. Definitely no. A high end Intel CPU with advanced graphics built in might play it at a low resolution and a low framerate, but an Atom struggles with basic computer multi-tasking operations I don't even think that system could stream that game over from a more powerful gaming PC via Steam. 4. Almost sounds like generic menu music to a 10+yo indie video game
  5. Indeed, although they have found certain other planets in other systems, i.e. the earth 2.0's and that Jupiter cousin that's as close to its star as Mercury.
  6. I'll be watching it regardless, and will just enjoy it for what it is. Good luck with the whole 'radio announcer not talking much' idea
  7. OT here in case some have no idea what this is: iGP Manager TurboDuck League - Join now for FREE | turboduck forum Timezone probably won't work out for me so I'll just retire as the winner from last season (no idea how I did it)
  8. Yep, I knew it took a while, just couldn't recall from 20 years ago if it was quite that long, haha.
  9. I wonder how long the orbit takes, and if it's not more than a few decades, why we haven't noticed it before when close to the sun.
  10. See if there's anything useful in here
  11. To those who missed it in the CB, click here and jump to 42m to watch some cool tduck exposure and a cracking opening race in Season 4 of the AOR GT3 Elite champio Twitch
  12. Giving your thread a descriptive title might increase your chances slightly. Post a video demonstrating your current method and results so any experts around know where to start with helping.
  13. Before a game is released = hopefully just enough time to fix said issues, I guess. While there's time there's hope.
  14. Well at least with no interest there's no critiquing my singing
  15. That's really sad. Did they not have sustainable plans for their next game to be delivered within a year or two? I guess this is the risk/cost of supporting an existing game so well for so long.
  16. Invest the time and blank disk to make a live boot CD/DVD such as Hirens Recovery. Basically gives you a mini Windows XP that runs from CD (and RAM) and comes with many diagnostic and recovery tools. If it boots up just fine AND you can access your HDDs without issue then there's a good chance you're not looking at a complete hardware failure. Perhaps a bad HDD sector where a boot/system file was stored at worst. In case of obvious partial mechanical HDD failure, it's better to attempt to recover files by taking a complete disk image rather than copy individual files. This keeps the additional wear rate low as the read is performed sequentially, not randomly. If you don't have a recovery disk with you can try any bootable CD/DVD/Floppy as a last resort to see if the PC boots. i.e. use the Windows OS DVD/USB and try launching Startup repair. Likely you have a BIOS/UEFI setting adjusted to automatically reboot on error rather than pause at the error message. I had a boot SSD dye catastrophically with no warning when I manually rebooted after installing updates. Decided to just replace it and start from scratch. I only have Windows and a few programs/games on C:\ which means I basically lost nothing, besides time and $$$.
  17. Bad news! To be fair, we were never expecting a full game for free. Which is good, because based on this info and past Forza experiences on console I doubt I'd play this for more than a couple of hours. bsimracing
  18. A little adventure from last year. The weather forecast looked awful. I was expecting to receive a cancellation SMS... but so were they. So uh, we just went for it. 5 hours to see some mates and 5 hours back the same day. Click ^ for video I was struggling to hold my head up (the wind was mostly doing that for me, thanks to um, plenty of room to twist my wrist. Fortunately one of my favourite roads was on the horizon, ready to wake me up.
  19. I was only hoping Ham would struggle more to pass Ric given how long it took him to get ahead of team TR. Maybe down to tyres.
  20. Clarkson wasn't the only one with a posh accent back in the day
