  1. My yard turned to stone as well, and a bunch of trees changed colour/wood type, and another tree was partially cut down- weird stuff happening. @Flagimbarb, spent a little bit of time reconnecting you to the tunnel. Doesn't look awesome but there wasn't much room to work with given the old farm in one direction, and the weird non-destructible zone on the other. Replaced the door and fixed your lamp, and then bumped into an enderman in your basement on the way out :panic: Finally connected myself to the grid but wasn't receiving any power. Went to Adam's house to check his setup and it was the same story (I chucked a battery in Adam's MFSU to drain it a little bit and watched as it didn't recharge (it's also connected to solar but it was night time when I tested). So I go over to the reactor, check that it still exists, don't touch anything, then come back to find my MFSU now 16% full, but not climbing. Weird. Then GTAMADDOG comes online and has a look at the reactor, and I see the MFSU start charging again. He says he didn't touch anything. My theory is that the reactor only sends out power if those chunks are loaded (if someone is standing there), so I ask him to move away from the reactor to see if my MFSU stops charging. Unfortunately he's AFK and doesn't move, and my MFSU reaches 100% charge. So Ozz you might want to put a world anchor in the reactor. Perhaps others can do this test later to confirm. I also read (possibly outdated information if we have the latest version of tekkit) to avoid wiring loops and forks as this increases CPU calculations (can't say I noticed on my PC). The idea is to put a storage device at each fork/intersection. I'm guessing an MFE would blow up connected directly to the grid, and would also lower the eu/t too early, which would mean having to make some more expensive MFSU's. One day.... Couldn't find your teleport near the library Harley, where did you end up installing it?
  2. What about nuclear power (on the town end)? Adam is your video up yet? I'll head in shortly to check it out. Not sure if I'll do some laps in pCARS first
  3. Most of the pics are just from replay mode - I've never properly figured out the free cam (the drifting Atom and pedal shots are free cam).
  4. No wonder the TDU devs liked you so much - it's amazing between the two of you's you even managed to schedule that trip to the moon.
  5. Forgot to include a joke with that link: Kaspersky should know a thing or two about hacking since they've been hacked before :)
  6. Thanks. Just scrolling up and noticed quite a few sets missing from this thread (must've been posted elsewhere). You can actually see the general quality increase (ignore car model quality as we get new cars added to builds long before the best LOD version is completed) Screenshots from replay (no in-game photo enhancements available in builds) Actual screenshots (taken while driving) - someone thought it was a real photo from Bathurst :p New lens flare on Max setting (designed for external views, subtle settings are also available for interior views) When Ian announces open funding availability for PS4/Infinity versions of this game you all better jump on board if you want access to the forums/pre-alpha PC builds, and if you want to see this on the next gen consoles instead of a less amazing (graphically) version on the 360/PS3. :)
  7. If by the question you actually meant 'what if there is no category for the game' - just chuck it in the next best one (news/media/trailer/etc) and an Admin will create the category and assign your piece to it.
  8. Converted some emergency tunnels into nuclear sized tunnels all ready for someone to add optical fiber cabling and a minecart railway along the middle. Apologies to Flagimbarb, I accidentally set your wooden entrance to the tunnel on fire, didn't have any water so I just removed the blocks to stop it spreading to your house. If you use the tunnel you'll want to readjust your entrance which is currently blocked off. I've also changed the location of my tunnel entrance but it's still a WIP.
  9. Back when they used to be called Electronic Arts
  10. You subconsciously took a shower? When I read that I thought you meant you wed the bed. Can't say I've had a bad day in a while
  11. From the pCARS Rift stuff I've seen racing games are going to be awesome with this (as long as enough of the car is modeled - sometimes in cockpit view none of the car behind your head is rendered to increase performance
  12. Videos added to first post Highlights from 25min video: New DLC tracks every month Community league events/series management New aero/suspension/tyre model Faster user interface (still WIP), support for touch screens (multi-device support for online/social features - PC/tablet/phone) Download CAN-ECU data from real life Toyota GT86 after a track day and replay it in GT6 (VW use CAN-ECU's don't they???) Lowlights from gameplay video Engine sound is still a bit vuccummy Other sound effects sound a bit too retro (time point, screeching tyres sound exactly like GT1, etc) 'We're happy to announce that we are developing GT6 for the 2013 holiday season' *applause* '...and it's be on the PS3 platform' *insert cricket noises*
  13. So far so good, Mr New EA CEO
  14. I've skipped over this page of posts but I'll add as far as playing any racing game with a controller - you can't get much better than FM3/4 as far as feel goes. Also worth noting that you mentioned you want to do a lot of Nordschleife laps - iirc the Forza version of the ring is quite inaccurate. All the extra TopGear (Clarkson) bits on FM4 are nice though.
  15. Grab Race Injection from Steam, it's a good sim although a bit old (you'll need a wheel to enjoy it properly), and there are LOADS of free mod tracks at websites such as nogripracing.com As for FM4 v GT5, I've played both with a full wheel/pedal.H shifter setup. FM4 has better sounds, a good selection of cars, but I find it all a bit too dry/clinical in it's presentation. I'm not a fan of it's selection of tracks (besides the Alps), and overall it was a little too similar to FM3 content wise. I could never find a stable online race either in public lobbies (only when in a private party). We don't know if FM5 will be on the 360 or the yet Infinity either. Finally, despite having a Forza logo on the wheel (CSR Elite), it was always tough to get the wheel feeling nice with Forza 4 & Horizon. Always felt edgy, hard to drive smooth. I did enjoy thrashing the hatchbacks around early on in the game though. Just got bored as the cars got faster and the career mode got repetitive/monotonous. GT5, sounds are bad (some DLC cars are good though), visuals aren't that brilliant (racing visuals, not photos which take considerable time to render), steering wheel feel is a lot more natural, one of the best neutral FF feelings you'll find, although hard to hold drifts due to how much/hard the wheel spins (which for all I know is somewhat realistic). Career feels a bit more structured, like you're making progress (future levels are hidden to avoid overwhelming), and if you get bored you jump into other sections (license, special event, season events, online), online multiplayer is very good and stable, as is the general level of driving of your opponents. Lobbies will often label if they race clean or dirty so you can choose. I didn't own previous GT games since I never had the PS2 so I can't comment on content copying, although I was happy to see some GT1 tracks return (could've improved the graphics of them though). And of course GT6 is confirmed for PS3 if you're taking the future into consideration. Plus the PS3 supports more steering wheels than the Xbox if you have one, want one. In the end I've spent countless hours in GT5, but only a few (maybe <15) in FM4. I've found FM advertising is very good at making me want the game, but somehow I end up just a bit underwhelmed. Doesn't stop me enjoying picking a nice car from time to time and enjoying it, just I can't sustain the play for very long.
  16. MadDog better do a good job with his next video then :p
  17. Early 2014 at this stage. There's no publisher to force a specific date to the detriment of the project.
  18. I'd help but I've already blown up one of my own machines, so I think it best that I keep out
  19. (Was more just an appearance suggestion, plus easier to know where they are)
  20. Well they're obviously making the best financial decision. When GT6 is released 90% of potential customers probably won't have the PS4 (assuming it's released by then), but you still have to make sure you don't upset your biggest fans, at risk of them telling everyone they're not looking forward to the game. But people will always try to make up for being a minority by being vocal :)
  21. This is already sounding like a bit of a let down, I would've thought PD would learn after all the GT5 criticisms.
  22. No, because you also said that it was NORTH of the town - so I headed north until I found your (hopefully your) construction zone, and started digging from there. (-137, +4). The tunnel runs at block level 55, which at the time of digging south towards Reaper's house was more than deep enough, but as you have also discovered the main north/south emergency tunnel runs at level 56. I blocked off the emergency tunnel between the community house and the abandoned factory in the meantime. You're welcome to intersect these tunnels and make the emergency tunnel go under the nuclear one. I started tunneling under the lake to where Ozz's house is but gave up trying to patch all the leaks (got too late) - so you can do that one Ozz. I also somehow managed to tunnel into Calsters' underground store. I also tunneled into GTA's cobblestone generator (fortunately hit water, not lava). I also had the idea of indenting the cable Adam (although I would've kept it in the middle height to keep the torches up top) but figured that defeated the purpose of having a 3-wide tunnel in the first place. My other idea was to have an MFE or MFSU at every tunnel junction/offshoot as additional storage in case the reactor went offline or an upstream cable was broken. With any luck Harley won't accidentally set off 30 nukes too close to it :) And I've officially joined the elite EMC Generator club. Noticed Adam has one too. Thanks for the P.Stone tip as well :)
