  2. Today
I did exactly what the instructions/readme showed but it keeps staying as the original RUF RT12 (I already installed everything and the unofficial patch but it doesn't work.)
  3. Yesterday
  4. It's well crafted masterpieice...AGAIN!Thank you for this,dearly
  5. Gotcha okay I get it now. That seems odd, the mod applies the exact same contrast values to all times/weathers, as well as balancing out color and keeping saturation constant... so it really shouldn't do what you described. I tested it thoroughly before posting it, when I run the files I uploaded, every weather pattern has heavily-reduced contrast, like demonstrated in the photos. I don't know if you manually edited the values yourself, or just installed the file raw as I uploaded it, but to the best of my knowledge and experience it runs correctly and mellows out the contrast (without overdoing it and making things look flat, that would be weird) when installed as intended. If you want to edit the values even more yourself, open the weather.ini file and just change CONTRAST = 1.12500 in all 20 weather patterns to some lesser value, just play around with it and enter what feels right for you! If changing that contrast value isn't enough for you, you can also try changing BALANCE = 0.06310 0.06310 0.06310. I gotta admit, it's been awhile since I made the mod or played around with weather.ini, I'm a bit rusty on what this value did, I think it has to do with the balance of RGB color values, so it may or not help. The other two values my mod changes won't help your problem, CARGLOBALFACTOR just controls the overall reflectiveness/shininess of cars-only, and DESATURATION definitely shouldn't be touched, it just keeps everything from looking dull and gray. Oh and here's a really REALLY cool tip for very quickly checking how all the different weather patterns look in your game: In the same folder that weather.ini is in, find WeatherDesc.ini. Open it, and right at the top you'll see: //Default time scale : 50 Change 50 to 5000, save the file, and run the game. As soon as you leave your house, you'll see all the in-game weather patterns and times-of-day very quickly cycling (not too fast that you can't see them though, but it only takes a few solid moments to get through all of them). Be wary the game might crash after a bit when set to that setting, but it's a great tool for quickly testing how all weather patterns look! Be sure to change that value back to "50" when you're done testing. [EDIT: Okay again it's been awhile since I messed with this stuff, it might actually be: [WEATHERDESC] Name = "FREERIDE" TimeScale = 10 the number 10 might be what you need to edit to 5000. I'm sorry, it's been months since I messed with this stuff, if the first thing I said doesn't change anything, try changing TimeScale = 10 to TimeScale = 5000 On top of all that, either of those values might have different defaults in your game, I can't remember if I permanently changed one for myself to change the flow of time. sorry! Either way, change all values back to original once done testing] I really hope that helps, sorry it wasn't to your taste the first time around!
  6. Copy your music along the way D:\Games\Test Drive Unlimited Gold\Euro\Radio
  7. Afternoon - good contrast. The rest of the day (morning, evening, even the sort-of-night) - still too dark like with the original weather.
  8. I don't really get what you're saying... the only thing my mod does is create a consistent lowered-contrast across all default weather patterns. It doesn't alter anything about the order weather and time occurs in the game, everything else was left stock.
  9. That's nice but it could use the same values for morning, evening and what's considered "night" in this game.
  10. I just would like to be reminded how to do this; I forgot how.
  11. Oh wow, okay! Hey I can actually solve the too-dark shadows thing for you, I personally created a mod for that! Here's the link if you want to try it, I'm pretty proud of making it https://turboduck.net/files/file/777-tdu1-simple-contrast-reductionbalancing-not-hdr-compatible/
  12. I solved the problem, altough not the way you'd expect: I found and downloaded the original TDU - not Gold edition. So far in the not Gold edition 11 car delieveries, 10 perfect. Only one is still bugged - an olf Corvette (Stingray, I think), probably from the 50's. This car loses money as it goes. And with the not Gold edition I also solved the other problem I didn't mention - manual shifting works, most of the time. Now I can decelerate a lot later than I had to with automatic transmission. The shadows are a little too dark even with increased brightness but that's a small price to pay in order to have the other two things working. Also, the game won't close upon exit and I gotta kill its process, but I can live with that too.
  13. Last week
  14. Oh, okay. It might not be that then... I suppose you could still try limiting the framerate with your graphics driver software in case the game is running at a higher FPS than the monitor (I think that's technically possible, some people do it for some competitive games for a very slight advantage) so maybe just to be safe try limiting it to like 58 FPS and try that? If that doesn't work, sorry man
Truly great, will be spending some time on this section of roads for some time. Is there any way to add traffic to the road? I think that would make it even more spectacular
  15. My monitor is 60 FPS, so it can't go any higher than that. Maybe I should try with 50 FPS, then?
  16. Are you playing above 60 FPS? There's been a weird history with this game of having a variety of physics bugs related to playing over 60 FPS, including collisions with invisible traffic vehicles, etc. I know you tried removing traffic, but I'm wondering if playing over 60 FPS is generating some sort of "detected impact" with the road or just a general glitch that's causing it. If you're playing over 60 FPS, trying capping it with your graphics card's driver. If you aren't, I don't know what else to say, sorry! I used to play with an uncapped framerate and experienced all sorts of weird issues, including the one you're describing, it used to drive me nuts. Now that I capped it to 60 FPS, I haven't noticed these issues anymore. Let me know if that ends up helping out!
  17. Does anyone know why every single vehicle delivery mission at some point reduces the reward on an even road and even when there were no collisions? It wasn't like that years ago when I last played TDU. It's really annoying, the road is even, I'm doing about 160 (100 mph) in order to avoid collisions and yet at random moments the reward of $90,000 starts to drop for apparent reason. I even resorted to removing the traffic because I thought it was a bug caused by it but the problem remained.
Impressive! That is amazing how you improved the quality of your work, almost look like a road made by TDU developers themselves! Thank you! But while the Mountain pass has a lot of short corners & f****** massive bumps (grrrr, bumps!! Hahaha!), this one has a bit too much straight lines! Kind of complete opposite type! I hope your next projects are: Race tracks with red & while borders (like TDU2 race tracks or real life tracks like Nordschleife)! We will all love to see such! PS: Must check/test again, but on the airfield, there is still the invisible wall bug that made us instant crash, and, about the ground marks (1/4, 1/2, etc.), I have the feeling the 1/2 & 1/1 are wrong (I have to recheck with odometer/counter but please recheck them if you have time), and adding 1km will be nice too (for Europeans, 400M & 1KM is usually the test range of cars). Besides adding some kind of "skittles" or "board" on the side (above lateral white lines) could be nice for better spotting of the marks (because when we flyby at 300km/h hard to estimate the exact point when we pass the mark).
1 million times thanks for this!!!You put smile on my face like in the old TDU days!!!Too bad there is no traffic on this roads but still,it is unique mode and make TDU1 younger than it is!!!I love mods like this, definitely fresh look on the game!
  18. You won't be a millionaire in the start of the game. This ain't Forza. Lol. Location of the tuner shops is the same as vanilla TDU.
BEight, your doing fantastic work for TDU1 ! i really like this backroads! in "Dillingham Airfield Resurfaced 1.00" , Now you fixed the , like "air wall" ? (close to main road), great job! Postscript:but i found a new bug in same area of Dillingham Airfield, Maybe it's an issue with my Intel graphics?
  19. 1) Make a copy of your offline save. 2) We delete saves from the folder, go into the game and create an online profile, we write the same nickname as on the offline one. 3) We are going out. Open the folder with saves, And delete everything that is in it, not the savegame folder itself, but what is in the subfolder. That is, savegame / profile name / and here there will be folders, we delete everything. then we copy everything we had offline here. And we delete option and key from the playersave folder, only DATA should remain. 4) We all go into the game, it will prompt you to enter the account and password, all online profile))
  20. Thank you Milenna. 60Fps solved it, I was playing at 144 fps since my monitor is 144hz. This fixed the shifting. However, do you have anything that adds money, cause the money gained by winning events is not enough compared to the cars in this game. hehe, also I cant find the Tuner shop for Japanese vehicle parts.
