The first turbo spools just a little tad above idle, like barely nothing, to prevent lag, and its a very lag-less system.

Burn! (it does get pretty hot)

 

Single turbo > twin/tri turbo

 

Thanks to tri turbo, on a diesel, we can have a lot of power up to 5000rpm

Oh yeah, wonder why people convert TT supras to single turbos? :p

On a diesel, this tri turbo system quite solves the lag problem :p

Thus, supra's have older tech. xD I can guarantee you from what i see, a TT in a diesel is much MUCH more lag free, infact, due to it kicking under 1000rpm, its virtually lagless, that was one of the hit aspects of the M550D :p
