Can steering lock be changed online? Because if so, I would finally be able to get some actual 900-degree action on the G25. :)

FWD on a bike? What's the medium-speed handling like? Actually, I might try it for myself. For a laugh. :cheeky:

I know, it's weird lol. You can take the Grip up to 1800 to really see what I'm talkin about. At low speeds, the turning is like, backwards looking, but then the bike starts to lay down at about 80 I guess. I pretty much did the same thing to the ZX12R, and it's just crazy, I barely have to move my wheel.

  • Acceleration is brutal, as you should all know by the 2.5s. However in the Australian heat there is rather a lot of lag and the car doesn't actually feel like it gets off the line much faster than my Camry. The professional driver said the same thing - the car was much slower off the line in Australia than the UK. As far as TDU is concerned - Hawaii is rather a warm environment and you would net be getting top acceleration out of a Veyron.

Sorry a bit OT but.

You can't really expect much from a quad-turbo engine in the heat. The turbos will suffer in the heat as there's essentially less air in the atmosphere to 'suck in' so an N/A motor will perform much better in the heat compared to a Turbocharged one. In TDU (Hawaii), the weather is usually warm so I wouldn't expect the Veyron to reach top speeds, especially when there's not a long enough straight road to reach it.

In Top Gear (Yes I know it's not the best source but still) when they maxxed the Veyron, they needed a 5km straight (IIRC) and they just managed to hit the speed. In TDU the longest straight is something like 4.2km long so you're not exactly meant to reach the top speed in Hawaii.

My sources and info may be a bit off, so please correct me if needed.

If you have an oline and offline account and the offline acount is set on a different language then the online account. Do you get kicked on the online account for having modded physics in the languadge you're not using?

Posted

Yes. The physics aren't affected by language, just the car names.

And turbo lag - that's more or less exactly what I said. Judging by your username I'd say you have a lot of knowledge in that area :p

I'm running it on x64 with no problems, as are several other people.

What operating system are you running and what error are you getting?

Posted

Any problems with windows 7 ultimate x64? I have read this entire thread and your recommended reading on your wonderful site but I didn't see anything on win7 problems.

I have yet to try this out, like an idiot I sorta lost my key code and I didn't back up my megapack, I lost everything when a harddrive went KaPooky, I just got Re-interested in TDU and i'm replacing my game stuff once again.

Just thought I'd ask while I await my game in the mail.

Thank you for your hard effort in all this.

This is the error....

************** JIT Debugging **************

To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this

application or computer (machine.config) must have the

jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.

The application must also be compiled with debugging

enabled.

For example:

<configuration>

<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />

</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception

will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer

rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Dredgy hope you don't mind me posting a video of some edited physics in action, all credit is given on the vid description.

"Here's what you get when you play around with the physics in TDU, made possible by Dredgy's TDU Performance Editor. Normal you wouldn't be able to drift or hold a very long slide in normal mode, but thanks to the custom physics you can now drift like Hardcore mode in normal mode.

Before anyone asks, yes I am running a trainer for TDU to turn off traffic, and no I do not play online as I have modified the game too much.

Driver: turbo lag

Car: Ford Mustang GT with edited physics and performance, with custom sound converted from GT Legends that can be found here http://forum.turboduck.net/showthread.php?t=15267

Controller: Logitech G25

Recorded with FRAPS"

Fail.. :cheeky:

To turn off traffic just rename the 'Traffic' folder inside Vehicules. Then to activate it again just rename it to the original name. ;) No need for a crap trainer.

Dredgy can you make the HUD and Rim options view the file name not the name of the car its supposed to be on? As some cars use lots of different rims and its easier to identify them by their file name. (Instead of Audi A3 3.2 it would view as A3_F_01) and the SLK55 Performance Package is missing in the list.

Posted

I can't read it, but it seems similar to the error message I got at first.

To get it to run, copy everything from the "References" folder into the main folder. :) Then run as admin and have fun!
