Dynamic Advertising

Some of you may have seen this thread over at the official forums. What do you think of dynamic advertising in TDU2? The good thing about DA is, the ads can vary from day to day. They stream from the server and can advertise a new movie, a new car.. anything!

I like this idea as long as the ads aren't invasive and show good products. New cars, trainers, gadgets and other cool stuff would be best imo!

I'd say yes as long as the ads aren't in your face and are about related products. It could immerse you into the game better also.

To be honest, the only game I ever paid attention to adverts was GTA IV, because of all the details and hard work that goes into them as the brands do not exist in real.

 

If they want to put it in, sure go ahead, but it'll be one of the last things I'll worry about if it's not or not good enough in the game.

Well IMO its better to have real advertisments that change than something like this:

 

A guy just cruising, NOT DOING CIRCLES: "Hey, is it just me or am I doing circles? Because I'm sure that I've seen that ad at least 10 times already..."

 

But it doesn't matter so much, I just want the freaking game!

Real adverts which are on billboards or on the side of building would be cool, but not intrusive adverts just little subtle one which fit in :)

Atari could make some nice money from dynamic adverts.I mean we play around in game all nice and we see a billboard with GTA IV let`s say.Next day we pass over the same point it`s an Adidas Cologne billboard.And the list could go on and on.And Atari can make lots of money from adverts.

I know that there is/are a mod(s) for the adverts but was there a dynamic advert system in place?

If ads reduce the cost of the game and DLCs then great, as long as... (what everyone else said).

 

If you're on a low bandwidth connection, then the game shouldn't download new ones while cruising.

On PC yes, movies featured prominently iirc.
