I had just detailed th car with mothers plastic vinyl and metal clears and som kind o apolster cleaner. But the rents wouldn't buy polish or brushes to clean into the folds of the seats and other stuff. Got no pictures because I don't think you would Want to see it in it's curret state of a smashed windshield

I start to give up once I've washed the car to half way down the doors.

Routine is as follows:

Rinse whole of car using hose/jet-wash.

Use said jet-wash to remove dirt from wheel arches.

Start off on the roof. Using a sponge + bucket of warm water + car shampoo.

Rinse.

Continue by applying shampoo to just above the window line to the bottom of the window line.

Rinse.

Continue by applying shampoo from the bottom of the window line to half way down the door.

Rinse.

Continue by applying shampoo from half way down the door to the bottom of the car.

Rinse.

Rinse wheels again.

Use alloy cleaning brush plus alloy wheel cleaner to clean the wheels.

Rinse.

Get drying-up cloth to soak up most of the water so that water-spots/lines cannot be seen once car has fully dried.

Wipe door sills down using drying-up cloth.

Throw drying up cloth into the corner of the garage.

Get annoyed with the hose pipe/jet wase because it wont go back tidy - Leave it in a pile in the back garden.

Throw unused water/car shampoo into the road and watch everyone try and drive around it.

Admire work.

Go out driving and get the car dirty again.

Tar remover/wax gets used every couple of months.

I have some awesome-sauce photos of beading which I'll post in the next couple of days.

We clean our cars ever so often.....but with the MR we have to be carfull! And when my dad was removing some paint off one of the front wings, a rust hole appered! but when we get all the rust covered and parts repainted...we are planning on keeping it in clean!

Well as clean as we can....the ammount of flys that come out at night and splatter on the car's bumper is unreal! But thats a while car and backroads for you!

Hadn't buffed the Golf up properly and the paint's pretty rubbish anyway.

I haven't done any before and after type things, I might do the next time I clean one of the cars.

Blimey nice job!

I washed mine the other day but took 5 mins and just washed and over and hosed off, still got black lines on alloys where i've missed and a cobweb on the wingmirror that i forgot to do. Still keeps cloths and hands getting dirty when leaning on it, main thing for me.

Got back from Tenerife. Looked at my car, it's somehow covered in dead bugs like I'd been driving it all the time for the last week when it's actually been sat on the driveway doing nothing. I think my uncle's been out for some h00nage in it, well that would be a good explanation but I doubt he'd drive it uninsured.

Might clean it tomorrow with some before and after pictures.
