Don't know if this is in any way consoling, but I wouldn't own my car if the previous owner hadn't crashed it. The first time I saw the Golf, it looked like this. Then a few weeks later, and a few months after that.

 

Only just seen this but I'm in/was in the same position as you. I wouldn't own my car if one of the previous owners hadn't crashed it, if I remember correctly it was actually written off, but as it was only a few years old at the time a professional company repaired it. Although I'm sure as eggs it's been in more than one accident sadly, there isn't a straight panel on it. But because of this it made it the cheapest on the internet at the time. Tough 'uns these old diesel Peugeots though.

Yep. Never got above 7700 though, scared the crap out of me. It's pretty damn fast.

I'll just update this :p Since December i have a new 106 Rallye.

 

 

 

 

It's the Phase 2 model. Little heavier then the S1, but also more torque. Has a 2" Pugsport de-cat exhaust and a Raceland airbox with Green air filter.

Jup. If it are white steels like mine that's straight from the factory. Snap a pic if you like, he might be on the Rallye Register.
