We all knew how hard it would be to near-realistically implement and calculate the rate at which fuel would be depleted in cars, depending on the car and way it was driven. It would take them ages to implement, and could you imagine what sort of bugs would be associated with it if we did have it? I wouldn't want to run out of fuel half way through the Tour of the Island races because of a bug. :)

Not to reheat the discussion again, but my view is it could be solved with a few generic fuelconsumptions, with the worst case being all cars of Class X the same consumption. I doubt that all those truckinggames, which I often use as indication how easy certain/all things can be done, have fuelconsumptions that differ on driving behavior. Ok, the vehicles drive roughly same speeds at most, but still.

As for fuel in races, maybe it's arcadish, but you could use the FRIM perhaps as a way to gain more money, more fuel, or an amount of both in between for free roam, and perhaps as a refuel-only base version for races, so you'll get refilled on the drive while combo'ing some near misses, doing slides and jumping. IF fuel would be implemented that would be the best way, without the need of either stopping in a race to refill, and otherwise using truck-sized power-ups like in Re-Volt and A2 Racer 1 and 4.

Btw, I hope/assume you're really going to try and send Eden/Atari this list? I'm kind of eager to know their reaction (and compare it with future development :p)

Haha nah but now you mention Kinect I'm imagining a 'driveby filling' game whereby you drive alongside cars about to run out of fuel and have to lean out the car with a jerry can and fill it up. Genius I know!

And of course I'm going to send it.

What has been said, and

1. Traffic-AI was better in TDU1 in all points. Better Management, better Sound and look (without that Wheel blur). I want that back.

2. I would like to have back also the flying leaves and the newspapers from TDU1. It made the game lively. the environment in tdu2 is generally very dead. the noise of the environment are also flawed. especially in hunolulu. no city is so quiet.

PC - Shifter Detection

This is a real pain in the bum and step back from TDU1, TDU1 used to tell if the car you were using had flappy paddles or a gated shifter, and whilst sometimes it felt intrusive it was nice to get in a car with 7 gears and be able to use them all because the game sets your G25's shifting to the paddles automatically.

I think this one is more important than it seems along side physics.

I'm going to suggest an improvement in Photomode

lack of Forcal Length and not being able to move the camera around much are the biggest problems. Also importing those shots is a pain in the arse.

1.Night lights, brake lights, reverse lights and indicators that are actually VISIBLE.

IRL you can see other car's lights from 100m, in TDU2 you can't see a crap from 20m... That really spoils driving with friends. Why didn't they do it like they did in TDU1? It was perfectly fine.

[e]

Actually they did it in the Police Viper. So why didn't make proper lights in other cars then?

2. Air ressistance. No matter how fast you drive, it feels like you are driving in a void. That would kinda eliminate the bug that your car suddenly stops accelerating after hitting 220, 269, 307, 329 or 351km/h because cars wouldn't hit the top speed that quickly.

Yet again, TDU1 was just fine in that matter.

I CAME UP WITH 2 THINGS! :D

1. There has to be a way to change the colour of the interiors after buying the cars, for example the Spyker Aileron Spyder looks great with a black interior (as seen in the DLC mission). Maybe an own workshop for that? Maybe there could be a way to paint them in your own colours as well? In TDU1 this could be done in the regular paint shops, which leads me to my second point...

2. Make factory colours available at the sticker shop! Sometimes you just can't help noticing that your car is the wrong colour after buying it *cough-casino cars-cough*. But you can't repaint it in the factory colours! You just gotta do your own replica and that is kinda dumb. For example, I loved buying classic cars in TDU1 and they sometimes were in odd colours and if that happened, I repainted them with the FACTORY COLOURS, not my own replicas!

I agree on those. Especially now that we're able to swap wheels easily and earning money is harder than landing on Saturn. I mean, in TDU1 I just bought another CLK with different colors and rims (ending up with 9 CLK's, without the GTR and DTM added), but now I don't see somebody buying the same car a few times :p

Also, GMDestra replied to the petition for refuelling debate that has been going on since the launch of the TDU2.com forum, the fact he even at this time still states it's not in the plans imo sounds enough like it really wón't happen.

1. Sound - you can't hear rain falling on the car, which to me really stands out. In heavy storms the sound should be very very noticeable.

2. Make better use of the subwoofer channel in 5.1 surround sound. If I turn Buttkicker on I barely feel anything, compared to TDU1 which was very communicative.

Here's mine:

  1. Change factory paint options like TDU1 (in a paint shop)
  2. The ability to isolate your server for just you and your friends.

  • It's so hard to break connections with other players to make room for your friends..

  • Why was something that was just fine in the first place completely changed and ruined? (jumping to friends)

The GTR games have been doing it just fine for years...

Fixed:

Anywho...

Ummm, Diablo? You're missing the most important 'must:'

Just make the bloody game work.

An option to look left/right with the wheel. This is a simple fix, instead of the left button to bring up the menu, change it to the up button and keep left/right to look left/right.

All of the other things wrong with cockpit view have been mentioned so I add my support to all of them!

Optimise the cities, as they have such an fps loss compared to the rest of the island. (Mostly in Ibiza)

And the Hawaii roads need to be smoothened out a bit... well okay A LOT. Not a 10ft jump every 50 yards or so...

Ibiza's roads are fine.

O'ahu is a Volcanic island though so wouldn't the roads be all over the place anyway, I must be missing the places people are talking about where the roads are not good on O'ahu. Or maybe it's just that compred to TDU O'ahu is great to drive on now. :D

GPS

1. Could the GPS not set offroad routes for asphalt cars and classic cars (except for Subaru and Lancia Delta), or at least could it highlight them with a different colour, let's say a darker shade of orange?

2. Could we have a working "zoom out" feature for the GPS without having to access the map? Just add one that actually lets us see the road layout (unlike the ones in TDU1).
