I cannot understand why there's so much anti socialism in online racing games. If you approach some people they just jump to somewhere else. Some people try to ram you. Not many people are willing to race. TDU2 's environments is one of the coolest just to hangout in with your friends and to met people, but most are not wiling to do it. I thought the purpose for being online is to interact with other people, was I wrong?

Some want to do their own things (IE Take lone pictures, Drive in quiet places so they can try something or the like.)

I'm sort of one of those people. I won't jump somewhere, unless the person following is ramming or excessively bumping into me.

Just one of those things really. No one wants to race because the physics aren't terribly enjoyable for the loyalists. But that's a different chapter.

OP, I think "anti-social behaviour" is the phrase you're looking for. Although I can't say I'm happy about half a million other players owning the same caravan as me... :P

Sponge is absolutely right - I suppose I'm kinda the same. I treat TDU2 as a sandbox game, and I just want to drive around and explore stuff by myself without having to get my car dirty doing street races every five minutes. To me, the game is more of an Epic Citadel-like explore-and-observe game than any form of social media. If you're gonna hang out with friends, I prefer to actually do it in real life rather than walking around randomly as an awkward-looking CGI with weird eyes.

What Redl1ne and Sponge said is correct. Another possible reason is (and this is no fault of your own) TDU2's difference in game purpose than TDU1; players of the new game are required to follow a much stricter path of events, and combined with the fact that almost everything in the career is integrated into online mode, it can seem like everyone is rushing off and doesn't want to socialize. If you feel like it happens a lot, I'd look for organized cruises, races, and games. There are usually a few going on in various time zones, especially one weekends.

Maybe he was talking about a DLC pack where you can play as McCarthy. :p

I haven't see the opposition of Socialism to be a major issue...Oh, wait. Wrong subject, my bad :p. As far as people not being social on TDU2, probably has to do with nearly everyone being a rammer or some people being all around *expletive* to everyone.

Best thread title ever! No socialist country has ever been producing good sports cars, so that's probably why socialism is frowned upon by car enthusiasts.

I'm sorry that I can't contribute anything ontopic, but I'm laughing too hard :D

Because If you have the fastest car, Your the best! Well thats How i get the idea most people have ingame!

Replaying the game from start(on the 360, having got it new) I've been assulted by players who all use Veyron's! That includes being challenged to races in my Esprit (must be a case of, low level...doesn't know anything about cars)

Would give my full opinion, but im on the ipod doing this! So Cant be bothered to right now!

I'd like to know a couple of things..

How many people can be on an island at the same time? Seems like its mostly empty and at most, I get 8 people around me.. Would be a bit different if they made it so there could be dozens more online at the same time/place.

Is there a way to check your ping or others ping around you?

Thinking about the tech side of it, I am guessing every time you log on your connected to one of many TDU 2 servers and each server can only handle so many people? Must be a low number...

That's because neither TDU nor TDU2 allows you to be connected to more than 8 people at a time.

I'm also a bit anti social, but I can't help it with the people I keep meeting. They are only foreigners who don't talk english (I only talk english or dutch, my german is better in understanding than speaking), or noobs who crash on purpose into me when I drive normal, and they keep challenging you around 10-17 times before YOU give up and go to mapmode.

Other than that I find I have enough friends in TDU2 now, I can't always be online and if I'd have 10 people inviting me at the same time, how the heck should I solve that?

I just read that as "anti-socialism" Or against socialism. I was like duh! But I agree when people warp out it takes all the fun out. I have never been able to really cruse with people, probably the fact that I don't have a wheel.

yep same, agreed.

Also I believe because of the game being terrible **most**(no offence) of the 'good' players left playing. The original tdu atm has a great in-game community for example.

I know that problem. I often get rammed by SUVs or Bugattis. Sry to the Bugatti-drivers but it´s true! 99of 100 non-SUVs that ram me are Bugattis. I guess that´s the NFS-Freaks. In TDU1 the players were nice. If someone rammed you, they said "Sry" at once. In TDU2 all those new guys crash into you and say "Outa mah way mothaf*kr" (Happened to me only once. But hard words aren´t they?)

I´m a kind of social player. I like cruising around, not driving too fast in freeride. If 50 KM/H is allowed I won´t drive more than 80 or so. On short ways I even only drive as fast as allowed. I like drifting around on the testtrack of the Ibiza Classic Racing School and it´s even more fun with some buddies. And I always wanted to invite some people home, but noone is online ...

If you want to mess around a bit you can add me to your friendslist if you see me. My In-Gamename is: Kuebelwagen.

IF eden made a live radio, ever changing commercials, real promos related to real brands, new treaure hunts and activities sponsored by brands, people could get more active.

Because we don't want our cars visually damaged.

Visual Damage killed this game. If they took that away i will stay and chat with others. I dont want someone to accidentally ram me and my car gets visual uglified.
