The proverbial door on the proverbial ark has been shut. 13 months since C.A.R.S. was first revealed and now it's completely funded. Congratulations to everyone who's contributed so far, and commiserations to those who've missed out due to circumstances or laziness. We'll try to make sure it turns out to be the racing game you've always wanted. :)

Ian's just had his Finance manager post up a returns spreadsheet that has a more realistic view of costs that eat into profits and reflects the updates with the next-gen consoles.

We only need ~645k EUR to break even. 3m sales sounds like a safe target, although 5m would be a nice goal that's not impossible to attain.

Enter how much you spent on tool packs in the green square towards the bottom right.

Also note if you change the Platform %ages to make the next gen consoles higher, and PC/Steam lower, then that also reduces our profit, since we get 50% of next-gen profits as opposed to 70% of other platforms.

Sales figures that you could potentially use as a guide for the spreadsheet:

Shift 1 is probably close to 7 million. Shift 2 was over 5.

If pCARS sells as well as Shift 2 (why shouldn't it?) then I'll be a very happy bunny :D

After this payment we'll have a 171% ROI

It's not as insanely high as we thought might be possible, but it's also certainly nothing to sneeze at. You just have to work out how to declare it for taxation purposes.
