Alan Rickman dies at age 69

Actor Alan Rickman, known for films including Harry Potter, Die Hard, Truly Madly Deeply and Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, has died at the age of 69.

 

 

The star was suffering from cancer, his family said.

This is insane, 2016 hasn't been off to a good start, this week in particular. Today comes news that Alan Rickman has passed away at age 69. :( This is so sad, I grew up watching the Harry Potter movies and loved him as Hans Gruber in Die Hard, not even mentioning the other countless amount of work he has done. :(

This is such a shame. :( Even though he is more known for his Die Hard and Harry Potter roles he was an amazing actor and had a presence and charisma on screen that made him enjoyable to watch. Films like Galaxy Quest which I remember watching with my kid brother when he was 3 or 4 are a memory I cherish because of the way my brother told his character to 'shush' because he was always moaning.
