TDU2 Performance Pack v1.043

As the title of our favourite game is Test Drive UNLIMITED 2, I changed top speed of several cars with electronic limiter, like Audi RS5 or mercedes SLK 55 AMG. This resulted that top gears in several cars are no longer useless.

Also improved performance in many cars at closer to reality.

Hi,

The Beetle is a 1303 S Beetle from 1973 so the power is 68 hp or 50 kilowatts with the 1584 cc engine.

The redline is reached at 5500 rpm.

The top speed is 165 km/h.

The 1500 Beetle from 1967 with its 54 hp goes to 158 km/h.

The gearbox of this 1303 S Beetle allows in theory 185,455 km/h in 4th gear.

Why 29 hp for the 2 cv ? It is  a 18 hp Azam 2 cv.

I disagree with you Dextcloud.

You have wrong data. Beetle 1303 S (1970-1975) is 1584 cc, 50 hp, 0-100 km/h in 20 sec, top speed is 135 km/h [163 km/h? lol where did you get this crap data]. Anyway Beetle from TDU had 1192 cc, so it was probably 1200 (with ridiculous quick acceleration same as 2CV from TDU). All what I did is changed specification to faster version with 1584 cc engine. Same situation in Citroen 2 CV, I changed specification from 425 cc to 602 cc engine and that version has top speed 115 km/h.

Ok.

According to me, 135 km/h is a bit too slow.

It is not 50 hp but 50 KW so it is a 68 hp car !

The top speed is 165 km/h on a flat road.

Downhill, you could reach 185 km/h in theory.

Your beetle ratios are completly wrong !

The real ratios are the followings :

Reverse 3.79

1st gear 3.80

2nd gear 2.06

3rd gear 1.26

4th gear 0.93

Final drive ratio : 3.875

Speeds are : 45,505 km/h 45,63 km/H, 83,725 km/h, 136,885 km/h, 185.455 km/h.

Anyway, good project to correct car's performance ! But verify your sources.

Bye.

Good partner. You've done a MAGNIFICENT job of incorporating data and features more real and in line with the game cars. I like the spoilers of cars as they were originally. Here you can tell me to copy and paste the original file, but it is that I find amazing the changes you have made, except for one of them. Is there another way I can make the Spoilers work?

THANK YOU FOR ALL!!!

602 cc for the 2cv ? This is an Azam from 1967 2cv so the engine is a 425 cc engine !

The real power is  18 hp only and not 29 hp !

The only 29 hp 2 cv is the 1981 2cv from the movie James Bond.

A 50 hp car reaching only 135 km/h ?

A 50 hp light car, as the beetle is, can do easily more !

The 1500 beetle has 54 hp and goes to 158 km/H in Forza Horizon 1 !

The Beetle in TDU2 is a 68 HORSEPOWER  CAR !

IT iS A 1584 CC ENGINE OF 68 HP !

This is the real data, this is reality ! Where have you seen a 50 hp car reaching only 135 km/h ? A 50 hp light car as the beetle is can do easily 180 km/h !

Just search for videos on youtube ! i have seen already 1 or 2 videos in wich a beetle goes to 160 or 165 km/H !

602 cc for the 2cv ? You are wrong ! this is an Azam from 1967 2cv so the engine is indeed a 425 cc one ! So it is 18 hp only and not 29 !

You say that you want to correct car datas but you only put wrong datas in vpe !

MY first car was a Peugeot 106 XN with only 45 hp and i did 165 km/h and i could do a little more ! The gearbox allows even a speed of 173 km/h according to a website dealing with gear ratios !

So, i disagree.

A VW Beetle often has a 4 speed gearbox, and it's engine is old, compared to a Peugeot 106. Second thing, there is something called real speed and speedometer speed. A Peugeot 106 with 45hp can't reach a real top speed of over 160km/h. Normally the math is to reduce the speedometer speed by 10%.

10% of 165 = 16.5

165 - 16.5 = around 148,5km/h of real speed.

Edit: And gearbox speed means nothing really, a Dodge Viper SRT-10 has a gearbox that allows over 500km/h, yet the car barely goes over 330.

The speedometers don't have 10 % difference with the real speed but 0 % for the best brands of cars.

The needle is above the 0.

My father's berlingo had 0 % error at 100 km/h !

I have already compared it to the gps. When the car was displaying 100, the gps was displaying  100.!

Actual cars have 0 to 2,5 % gap with reality !

The Volkswagen Beetle and the Peugeot 106 are older but they are very accurate : almost 0 %.

And also, most of the people don't know how to read a speedometer ! You must count the thickness of the needle !

Peugeot and Citroën are now the best cars with 100 % accurate speedometers.

Yes, i know that the viper and corvettes and other cool cars have an overdrive gear and sometimes 2 overdrive gears depending on the car.

Stories : Your datas are wrong " 34 ch en 1960" ? It is wrong !

In 1955, the beetle had a 1200 cc of 36 hp and 40 hp in 1963 ! So it is 36 hp in 1955 !

"50 ch en 1972" ??? It is 68 hp with the 1303 S and its 1584 cc engine !

C'est 50 kilowatts et pas 50 ch !

The 54 hp 1500 engine can reach 158 km/H in forza horizon 1 on a flat road !

The 1303 S Beetle can reach 165 km/h.

Cronos : The 2cv, is indeed a 2cv Azam, so it is really a 18 hp car and not 29 hp car !

@Dextcloud

I have already answered your question last time.

But I see that you have a problem with reading comprehension and doing research of my data.

You probably watched this video:

But you did not read the description, where is written:

"the 1.6l engine, prepared by my self".

My data is from:

Volkswagen Garbus – Wikipedia, wolna encyklopedia

VW Käfer 1302

Citroën 2 CV — Wikipédia

Citroën 2CV - Wikipedia

"Azam" or not "Azam", 2CV 425 cc or 602 cc look exactly the same. I gave a faster version, because even this version need from 0 to 100 kph 28 seconds. Do you really want a slower version?

If you still can not accept facts then this is just your problem.

PS. Guys also remember about the aerodynamics. Comparing a pretty modern car like Peugost 106 with similar power to project from World War II is ridiculous. Look for example at windscreen in VW, it's almost the same aerodynamic like a window in the kiosk.

TDU is wrong ! In the rear of the Beetle in the game there is a badge "VW 1303 S" !!!!

It is not a 1200 cc ! It is a 1584 cc of 68 hp  (50 kilowatts) !

It is a 1303 S Beetle model in TDU, from 1973 !

Cronos said to me : there was both 1285 cc and 1584 cc engine for the 1303 S.

It is wrong ! the 1303 has got a 1285 cc of 44 hp but the 1303 S is a super Beetle with 68 hp !

Eden has made mistakes in car database.
