I'll explain. On certain tracks there is a decibel limit, suchs pipes limit the decibels of a certain car to a certain level, so it is allowed to go on the track.

You can't use a tripod when panning. Monopod could work but isn't great either.

Panning is done while holding the camera, so you can follow the car better. That shot was at 170mm looking at the exif.

@ Kelvjy, do u use a tripod for panning like that, or do u use a, erm, long distance lens?

Fantastic shots :D

 

As Mb said, you can't use a tripod when panning ;)

 

I was mainly using a 170-500mm lens for those photos which was a bit overkill :whistle:

Hopefully i'll be using my 18-55mm and a 70-200mm lens this weekend :D
