Audi R8 Spyder Unveiled

It was supposed to be unveiled on Frankfurt's Motor show but surprisingly, official pictures leaked out earlier.

 

 

 

In my opinion, this car is a stunner. I honestly prefer it to the Gallardo Spyder (not the LP560-4 Spyder, that car is just out of this world). Profile looks so much better with the roof down and I like what they have done to the engine cover. V10 with 525 bhp, came directly from Lamborghini. Let's wait and see how it sells after it's official unveiling at Frankfurt's Motor Show. Until then, just :drool:

I must be in the minority in thinking this car looks cheap, to me and the colour doesn't help I admit it looks like some sort of special TT rather than a high class Audi R8 Spyder. The engine cover is hideous and the back is just amazingly for the R8 plain imo.

Hmm.. I like the Coupe more. That said I'd prefer this to say a 911 Turbo Cabriolet, which I assume would be a similar cost.

tbh I don't like this car much, without the Sideblades it looks too much like a Gallardo, not a bad thing but doesn't have the "R8" look, and also the side profile makes it look very long, the front and rear ends are fine imo, I still think that a Targa top would have been better.

 

and that brown is hideous, they should of painted it white or red....

Oh my god! I love it and am in love with it. It looks absolutely amazing, I don't think they could have styled it any nicer. I think I will die if I see a blue one, just from the sheer beauty! :eek:

This is one of those cars that I think I, as a car lover, should be really excited over. But, I just can't seem to like it. It's just not that exciting to me and I can't figure out why. I will also have to agree with Diablo's comment of the car looking cheap.

The fount looks like a TT, I love thr back though. Thing is this is a proper drivers are not a cruiser, my make it an opentop? I'd rather have the new grandcabrio (change the name badge) or the Ferrari california spyder.
