SEAT Inclusion

Who

Recommended Posts

Who thinks that this time around, TDU2 should include cars from SEAT?

I mean, it seems like a no-brainer to me, Ibiza is a Spanish Island, SEAT is the only a Spanish brand, and every other car on the road in Spain seems to be one!

And it's not like they'll be dogs, they are good enough for the BTCC and WTCC! Not to mention that they're bloody good looking! The game needs fore FWD anyway

Sure, they're not my favourite brand, but they're still dam tasty!

Agreed SEAT are really underrated.

I just hope everyday cars are included in TDU2. Just for the pure fact that once the game is complete, we can cruise in any class with a wide variety of choice. Not everyone wants to cruise in a Koenigsegg or Ferrari. Some would prefer the Pug 206, Focus, Mondeo etc etc.

+1 For SEAT

If I'm honest, if TDU2 did include every day cars I'd probably find myself driving them more than the super-cars and hyper-cars.

It would be nice to finally have some every day cars in a game, especially a game such as this.

A 306 S16 would go down a treat for me, anyway.

I understand why people want everyday cars and I'm not knocking it, I just don't want them the game. It's about glamour and "living a dream". No offense but Seat don't feature in my idea of dreams. Then again we got stung with Lexus last time so who knows.

Didn't the Spaniards build some supercar not so long ago? Can't remember what it was called but it was pretty cool.

Test Drive Unlimited 2 didn't have High Life as internal name for nothing. Nothing glamerous about cheap rental hatches and other cheap cars. It would be nice, but I just think it doesn't fit with the concept of the game.

A few cars from hatch to higher midsegment saloons are ok, but imo a racing game is a racing game and I think TDU2 should have at least 75% being sportscars and supercars.

But íf they'd put them in, no problem. I rather have Seats and Skoda's than VW's. They look better, have same quality, but are also cheaper.

The feeling of moving from a standard car so to speak and progressing through the levels would be much better than being able to buy a Ferrari within the first hour of play.

For me anyway, I hope there is some kind of actual difficulty or challenges needing to be completed in order to get the ultimate level of cars.

They should use levels that you can only enter an expensive showroom when you really reach races you can't do with less. And car resumees would be good to. For the Enzo, you had to own an F40 or F50, and for the SLR Stirling Moss you had to own at least one other SLR. Same with the McLaren F1. Simply throwing a bag of money at the head of sales wasn't enough, you needed to have owned other exotics, and they would judge if you could get one.

I wouldn't go as far as sticking to production numbers, or only 25 people would get a CLK-GTR, and only 300 could get a Veyron. But I like the resumees. Not only having enough money, but also owning exclusive sportscars, AND progressing far enough.

BTW, why not have a Leon Cupra R as copcar :P It's not keeping up with the high range, but then again I don't expect loads of 300km/h areas.

I agree with you! The idea that you have to own a ferrarto get the Enzo is what the conditions to get on was(i think, dont quote me on this) althoug now its not the case with secondhand examples & all!

Also i'm all for a Seat, as the bottom class could be cars like Abraths, Cooper S JCW and of course.....the Ibiza Cupra! As when i think of the small medatraian islands...i think of hot hatches!(and 'Mental in a Rental', but thats diffrent!) As although US muscle cars would be nice, if you want to keep it real then the cars would be diffrent, as muscle car's wernt sold over in Europe officially(In the UK at least) and Hot Hatch's are a sort of Europeain thing!:D

The new Cupra R is similar to Audi S3, so it´s not bad at all. We have weaker cars in TDU1. Tuned, this car can reach 300km/h (186Mp/h), or more, so it´s a good car. Imo, yes i think it should be included.

I do think we will see SEAT cars in TDU2.

Come on, even people who live the ''high life'' drive everyday cars. And if they're spanish, they will definitely choose Seat as their everyday car, I would, so

Yeh, thats why i also have a Astra as well as my Enzo! :D

Although thats true, and as i pointed out earlyer, Hot Hatches would be out of place.....i see All the audis and Merc's(bar SLR and CLK-DTM) fetured in TDU everyday! So Seats and other hatch's would be bad(as i dontse many Abraths)

Also, about a Spanish Supercar.....the Pegaso Z102! It had many looks thanks to coachbuilders at the time! :cheeky: It's one of my personal favorites in this body...although the Z103 was quoted to be able to reach 185MPH....not bad for the 1950's!:)

Because they don't look at dreamcars in that very personal and changeable meaning of the word in my opinion. I think they rather look at the general idea of dreamcars, which are almost-unaffortable high-end luxury, but mostly sporty vehicles, such as Ferrari's, Lamborghini's, etc. The classic imagination of what cars are most expected as the wallpapervehicles for kids, like the F40 is.

You can't really say an Astra OPC or Golf R32 are the first or most mentioned cars that come into mind when you ask the audience for dreamcars.
