liked almost every aspect of what i saw there.

the rock station sounded a bit naff lol.

still hoping eden abandon a new hc mode - i want to drive around with everyone on equal footing.

not up to me though eh :D

From what I understand, Fizz, It'll all be the same mode. But the "Driving aids" act like HC Mode. So you don't have to quit the game and start it again if you want normal mode back. Just change your aids like you would in TDU1

The Hardcore driving setting isn't necessary akin to the TDU Hardcore mode though, it's more just like 'Off'.

They know there is a fairly big Hardcore following so I wouldn't worry about it, as for having the game being the same for everyone as you say Fizz, well that negates the whole 'race.drive.socialise. Play it your way' philosophy of TDU/2. :D

I couldn't stand to watch the video. What i noticed, in the cutscenes the used the real sound of a Ferrari California and you clearly hear that the real California revs up much higher in sound!! The one in TDU2 does sound if the rev limiter is at max 5500 and doesn't have the sound of a 8000rpm range. They must work that out, maybe in a patch.

Unfortunately, that's unlikely. One of the most complained-about aspects of the trailer is how the sounds are inaccurate (and differ from cutscene to gameplay).

I don't want to insist on it, but its kind of a very bad joke. We all know that the engine sounds are a major issue in every single game, not any game to the time has mastered the engine sounds.

So I am just looking for this answer, Why would they use a real sound in the cutscene? Its that like Oh, forgive us but that's how bad our engine sounds are compared to the real ones. I'm sorry but it kind of ruins the whole video, when I heard the sound of the Ferrari California in the cutscene I was like "Oh My God, What is this, the guys really have done it!" but then they let you in on the real "gameplay" sound and its a major disappointement, the engine sound is very very bad, it has no roar, no nothing, its just low and synthesised. :-x

For example the Audi R8 sound seemed a lot closer to reality, but the Ferrari California one is just very bad, you can see for yourself in a video or something. C'mon its a convertible and there is even no wind sound, everyone who ever drove a convertible knows that at top speeds, really, 50% of the sound is wind. In TDU when you open the window you hear no wind, the car doesn't shake, there are no visual effect for the speed, the sound of the gears changing is very unreal too. I don't know what to say, I just wished it would be better, 4 years of development later.

TBH, everyone needs to chill out about it

Why does eveything have to be so realistic these days in games?

Look back to an original car game classic like Outrun, no body complained ,'OMG my Ferrari cant go sideways like that or that doesnt sound like a real Ferrari back then..' Why should we now?

A Game is a game. Fictional/Virtual in every way. If you want to experience the real Ferrari California engine sound, then go buy or go to one of the many car shows all over the world

For those who are gettin the PC version atleast you shouldnt have to complaino since mods are possible for PC unlike consoles.

I disagree. The excitment for carlovers comes from under the bonnet and the exhaust. Besides handling, sound is the most important thing to feel the car. If i floor a Ferrari, i want it to sound like a Ferrari and it gets me excited as a carlover.

A car without the right sound takes the enjoyment away. Forza 3 and PGR4 can handle the carsounds very well.

i disagree on the socialise aspect - i still believe splitting the physics in tdu1 devided opinions and players therefor curtailing the social aspect.

@bak - i like the german accent. it makes me smile. especially when the accent bounces like that too...

She just doesnt shut up!!

Do any women? :cheeky:

:leaves:

And she's just as bad when you play it in English, although you can get past it all in much less than 10 minutes. You can also flip the Ferrari over on a roundabout as I did when one of the NBP people was watching me. XD

Guest mr cars
i just got really excited. this looks really good and it seems like your not some random guy drivin around

Agreed. It actually has a storyline to it rather than you are just some guy/girl who's just moved to Hawaii and instead of getting a job just races for cash...

What is this video, It seems the car sound is very different from all others. Is this some kind of mod or something?

Man, the kommentiertes video is awesome, it really seems to have some improvements. The Offroad seems to be more bumpy and real:thumbsup: the night racing is amazing, too bad those guys wouldn't let us hear the engine sounds, their voice is kind of annoying.

I hadn't seen that video and I really liked it, still I have a few doubts. The engine sounds (again) don't seem to be good and the sense of speed is awfull. I hope they kept the SHAKE CAMERA and BLUR EFFECT.
