Yeah. No I don't think they would do it right. Just because they have the licenses to great cars doesn't mean they can do things right.

Aside from all the bugs and obvious unfinished bits, I don't feel engaged to drive nearly as much as TDU1. Maybe because I don't have a wheel on my ps3 but cars just don't beg me to drive them in this game. It's way to easy to just drive at top speed. Therefore cruising feels to slow and boring. In TDU1 almost every car felt powerful. Driving at high speeds needed a lot of attention. I felt like I was really controlling the car. In TDU2 I just feel like I'm mashing the gas and slaping the wheel from side to side while some weird traction control keeps me on the road. Overall driving was more exciting, enticing, and fierce to me. It's sort of lost that feeling in TDU2 but I still play it because there's nothing else like it that isn't worse. Let's hope some improvements and more cars come to salvage what they can of this game.

Same here , driving a Sagaris is like driving a go-kart , I think I've been playing Tdu2 since it was released but only now I got bored , I only hope that the CBR600rr will come.....

Look on EA games this way: they do have everything - sounds, graphics etc. but they lack gameplay and good ideas; those games almost perfectly done. TDU2 had some nice ideas and but it was terribly done - sounds, physics, graphics etc. ... If you would combine EA's sounds, graphics, cars, physics (Shift had great physics imho) and support with Eden's ideas and gameplay features (Casino, houses, dealers, huge open world etc.) we might get a pretty decent game.

Couldn't said it better myself. I've really liked almost everything about Shift 2, except it being a circuit racer.

Agreed. Both EA's licensing and effort mixed with Eden's ideas would be great, but sadly that just isn't going to happen. And maybe Codies' damage engine could be good as well (with the exclusion of totaling cars).

there's some serious money in the TDU concept but atari's just B****ing around

From top level console maker to a**hats

only 2 monkeys run atari and they don't pay any money to eden anyways so they're quite good on making money per head. Lots of people pay for that ridiculous casino , I mean go and spend that on a real casino where you can actually win SOMETHING.

I think the car sounds in TDU2 make me bored faster than anything else. Even in TDU1, with the original sounds, the SLR mclaren, db9, etc. just felt... meh. I know sound modding has begun for TDU2 so i'm looking forward to what people come up with.

Now for the physics... what can I say about TDU2 that hasn't been said before? In my opinion, TDU1 had AWESOME handling. Regular mode for racing around at high speeds in my gallardo, or hardcore mode for drifting around the mountain roads in my porsche (RUF), it was magnificent. TDU2 has... none of those enjoyments. Granted I DO love just cruising around the islands at normal speeds, and TDU2's handling works quite well for that in my opinion, except for another problem I have:

Where is everybody? There is NO traffic, nobody... It's like the island is deserted. Granted, TDU1 was VERY graphics heavy and got 30fps MAX even with a super-computer, but I wish there was even an OPTION to turn traffic up or down depending on how well your computer could handle it. Just a thought.

Also, the car list is lacking somewhere... I can't really put a finger on it though. If they had kept all the cars from TDU1 (besides the atari-licence-conflict lambo's) and added in the cars from TDU2, that would have made the game so much more enjoyable. 2 of my favorite cars of tdu1 was the f430, and the SLR mclaren. I'm not a huge fan of the scuderia, or the 722 roadster, but they are my only options, and therefore I get bored easier than if I were driving an original F430 around. Also some people complain about how many "special edition" veyrons there are and such. Personally I like having that kind of variety. My "sang bleu" veyron and zonda tricolore are two of my most driven cars. my original veyron and zonda cinque are two of my least driven cars.

All in all, I don't see TDU2 as a complete waste. maybe with a couple more patches, and some modding here and there, TDU2 will be up to par with what everybody was hoping for... MAYBE! I wouldn't hold my breath though.

I've recently come back to TDU2 after going away from it very disappointed in 2011, mainly because of all the terrible bugs it suffered from, the worst being that it wouldn't load the road in front of you properly, you just got a screen full of random lo-res garbage then a crash (usually in Hawaii). I also played TDU1 a lot since it first released and really loved it.

The things I miss the most from TDU1 are the paint shop (I don't think the TDU2 replacement is as slick and the sticker shop should be separate - would give more shops to visit) and the tourist/hitch-hiker missions. I also found the regrouping of the car classes between the two games a little weird and it allows for less championships.

Regarding the Physics and handling I think TDU2 (after all the patches) is light years better than TDU1 ever was in this regard. I don't feel like I'm going over a level train crossing every 50 metres and cars which were all but unplayable/impossible to control/steer in TDU1 actually handle properly in TDU2 (Dodge Viper, Saleen for example). The cars have a good feeling of weight to them and of actually sitting on the road properly this time around too. Note that I am using a racing wheel, not a controller or the keyboard. I think anyone complaining about the handling who isn't using a wheel should be ignored.

Lack of sense of speed/motion blur - This doesn't bother me, I get a good sensation of speed from the game and in a real car things don't blur unless I'm looking out the side window, not the windshield.

Focus was on social/story not driving - I felt the same way the first time I played the game with all its bugs and unfinished feel and still do to an extent, but the patches have improved things a lot, the story is still pure cheese, but you can ignore it.

Money, haven't been right the way through all the championships yet, so can't comment, but money is tight especially the way things other than cars are priced.

Cop chases, not as good as a NFS Hot Pursuit obviously, but fun if slightly easy. Only done a couple so far.

Cheaters - I don't play online or in a club, so am not affected there.

With the updated Hawaii plus dirt roads etc it will be a long, long time if ever before I grow bored with TDU2. I'd just like the Lamborghini's and a few other TDU1 cars back in the game and the ability to set 5 or so waypoints on the GPS and I'd be in heaven.
