Actually, no, but I've done a few tours of duty on the Rock, better know as Okinawa, Japan, during my career in the United States Marine Corps. But thanks for asking, friend. :)

Have probably already got rid of the server by now anyway to make room for a new one. That said this is Atari.

 

Yes, I'm sure we all understand that the hosting contract with Gamespy was allowed to expire. Whether Gamespy has wiped the server space already or not is a moot point.

 

In my view, the intent of the petition is to try to make someone at Atari realize that there are numerous players out there who didn't want to see the server go away. There is nothing wrong with holding on to hope that Atari may at some point in the future give the community the capability to host it's own server(s).

Update: Petition closed (not sure why) with 948 signatures.

 

I sent a message to the person who started the petition asking why it was closed. Will update if I get a response.
