Haha, tough luck Andreaz.

You might not have enabled the Online setting, it should look like this (old pic):

I've been going through so much fuel (probably because I keep speeding through the UK since their Speed Camera signs are fairly easy to spot). I just hate the average speed camera signs because they're tiny and I can't read if they say 30 or 50mph. And even harder to spot at night time.

I thought France didn't have any speed camera (that's what Clarkson said a few years ago) but it turns out they do, but with no warning signs.

Ooh there's quite a few map mods around now...

I'll do what I did for TDU1 and just copy the game installation files for each map mod I install so I can switch between them quickly. Downloading a 409MB map now from 'Daniel123'

Then again why have new roads when you could have new countries:

Africa

America

I've seen quite a few competing map mods now, this could take a long time to get through.

Nice. I can't find any map screens of this mod, could you please make one?

E: That's what I downloaded. The Trucksim Map 1.5 activates the speed limiter. I tink I'll wait for a big Europe map. Switching between five maps every time I want to play it is something I don't want to do.

No, I'm going to bed

You just pick whichever one you want to use via a shortcut, such as this:

All the ETS2 modding websites seem to have the same map mods available so just Google it.

Why couldn't you find any? I saw maps showing the additional roads north of Germany (Denmark/Russia), East of Innsbruck (America), and south of Italy (Africa).

That reminds me of something else, my disc version of the game doesn't support nearly as many languages as the demo I played did. I played the Demo in Swedish but the full game doesn't have it. :hmmm:

By the way, when you do buy your own trucks, does it matter someone which ones you get? They all seem very even in performance (I'm not playing any mods) and as far as I can see, the only differing thing is the price. Amirite?

I only own one, so I don't know. Just try the various trucks when you're a hired driver and see which ones you like. You won't know what engines are in them though.

Posted

You will know if you go in to service/repair them. You will be given all the info about the truck there. And I haven't been able to feel any difference whatsoever in any of the trucks. They can all reach 90 km/h which is basically the only thing I need as that's the speed limit on most motorways. The differences are only aesthetic. Not decided yet if I should a) go for the one with the nicest interior which is where you spend the most time, b) go for the cheapest or c) be a brand snob.

hey guys, one question about that TSM map 1.5:I try to use it but my game crashes.

What that mean:that I need to start new game if I want to use it or what? If this is truth, than this mode map just sucks....

andy, 90km/h is the speed at which trucks are normally eletronically limited, in a lot of countries. There are mods to remove that limiter. I sugest real physics 1.6 mod. Really makes a huge difference, and there is a version without limiter. Also try the louder cabin sound mod, also worth it, allows me to actually control speed without looking at gauges and cruise control!

I always cruise around 60-70km/h though. Any higher than that feels a bit excessive on the truck.

Meh, 125 kph is optimal on highways and 110 on country roads. :nods:

Dunno, it works nicely for me. Do you have the latest patch installed?

I know that. Doesn't matter as most of the speed limits in the game are 90km/h, only at a few places have I seen 110. I don't want any mods.

You guys realise you can edit the max electronic speed limit in one of the configuration files in Notepad irrespective of what mods you're running, right?

With the 90kph/55mph limit, I though it was I maybe had pressed something I should't have...

At my work there limited to 52mph (If I remember correctly), I've never asked but near enough all the trailers have a sticker with '52mph'...

I just go as fast as I can everywhere, mind you, I've racked up something like 20k in speeding fines.

Can't wait until I remove the speed limiter :yay:
